Had dinner here twice while staying at the resort. There was a daily set menu with some additional daily specials and a-la-carte on offer. The choices were very appetizing; in fact, I could have enjoyed every option on the menu! The goats cheese tartlet and the confit of duck were amazing starters. The hake with tiger prawns, the roast lamb, the beef bourguignon and the duo of lamb were terrific. The presentation, taste and quality were all top class. The deserts were pretty tempting also. The wine list is somewhat limited but there are some good options available. The staff were very friendly and the service was relaxed.

Creative Irish Cuisine celebrating Connemara ingredients. Fresh and local seafood and meat with vegatarian options. Funky new England style dining Room with theatre style kitchen and cocktail bar. Relaxed setting with views over Mannin Bay.
We have eaten several times at Erriseask Restaurant at the Connemara Sands Hotel, and it keeps getting better! Chef Stefan Metz of Michelin fame provides an extraordinary prix fixe tasting menu that is a delight to the palate and the purse. Our most recent experience was the best of local fish and shellfish in a luscious sauce, followed by rack of lamb raised locally on the hills of Connemara. The divine dessert was a combination of rich cream & crispy slivers of coconut on an apple compote base. The price per person was 49 Euro, excluding wine! Donât tell too many people; we want to keep this to ourselves!

We did not stay here, but ate in the restaurant. The food was excellent especially the fresh seafood. The chef came out to chat and made the evening even better with his friendly banter. I really enjoyed my seafood platter.

Irish language cafe & bakery located in an artist run craft village. Serving hot food, freshly baked breads & pastries, beer, wine & barista coffee. Voted 2018 top 100 restaurants in Ireland.
Ordered breakfast at 1pm ( menu stated breakfast served until 1pm) but manager said this wasnât possible. After expressing my disappointment manager allowed me to order breakfast. 20mins after ordering there was no sign of breakfast & I informed waitress I had to leave at this point. Very unsatisfactory!

On my visit Oughterard I was spoiled for choice of where to eat. A beautiful little village bustling with life. Having parked my car fortunately be side Camp Street Cafe we went in to a cosy cafe and were met by a friendly face. First off food was as the sign said the best fish and chip and they were not joking but the staff were amazing and if you are lucky to meet Dessie all the better but don't worry he'll make himself known talk the legs off you and play you a tune on his fiddle what more could you ask for. Give it a go. Don't ask for chicken and why would you chicken is bland the best of times he doesn't do chicken. His pizzas are amazing too as is the lemon cheese cake and chocolate cake. Oh the coffee is good to and great value for money Go on pay them a visit I promise you won't be disappointed.

We came to Ireland 20 years ago and found a pub with live local Irish music...and havenât had any luck finding more on subsequent trips until this little place. Clever menu, music on Monday and Wednesday by a lovely set of fellows who played for fun. Great time.
