Went with a friend and was very impressed with the service and food. Went with a groupon voucher which was a bargain for 2 people. Only thing Iâd say is more seasoning on the battered plaice, was a tad under seasoned. Love the noodles and chicken in the omelette.

4 of us had Sunday lunch at this gastro pub. Staff were attentive & couldn't have been more helpful. Atmosphere was inviting. We chose roast pork and lamb. Once fat was cut off pork there was very little meat left. Lamb was tender. Vegetable selection disappointing; very few carrots & courgette was hard. Roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese were fine also the desserts. Nicely presented food but could have been a slightly larger portion of meat.Overall, a little disappointing and a little overpriced at £21.50 for two courses. Sadly, I doubt if I would eat there again based on today's experience. However, the lovely staff helped to make up for the disappointing meal.Hi James,We appreciate you taking the time to review your visit even though it was slightly mixed. The comments in relation to your main course have been shared with our kitchen. In terms of price, we do compare favourably with other pub/restaurants in the area withall of our dishes being freshly prepared.Hopefully, you will consider a future visit.
Cast Iron Bar & Grill in Cheshunt serves fresh, local ingredients and a welcoming ambiance. Enjoy our old-school classics, chef's new creations and all-time favourite British beef steak.
Nice cosy restaurant, serving English style food. I personally had fish and chips, nice portion, chips were perfect, fish was slightly overcooked - this ruined the batter but not the fish. Peas were plain. No greens on the plate. Price a little too high. Next day had a great English Breakfast. Again, the only thing lacking re some greens. They have a cooking station with a fine chef (lady). Please, helpful waiters and waitresses, and I though Siobhan was the pick. Will definitely go again.

We have just visited The Sea Tree for our first time (we have been missing out for years) The restaurant is bright, clean and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Hus was great and greeted us with a smile and showed us to our table. He was just a delight all evening and the service was quick and efficient. The food was AMAZING. Tempura Prawns and Calamari for starters. The batter was crispy and the prawns/calamari cooked to perfection. We all ordered Haddock, Chips and Mushy Peas. All was tasty and again cooked to perfection. The menu and specials board varied and I am definitely going back for Cromer Crab Thermodor, Chips, Coleslaw and Salad. We loved everything about our evening and I would happily recommend you go for a meal. Food incredible, Atmosphere relaxed and friendly, Staff friendly and attentive. We have booked our second visit already. Go on book now you won't be sorry (I would advise booking a table as the restaurant gets very busy) Thank you Hus and The Sea Tree we loved our visit.
