The Margate restaurant is nestled in the heart of the quirky old town surrounded by cafes, retro antique shops. Its a stones throw from the world famous Turner Art Gallery.
We came here for an early dinner and found the place humming with happy diners. Really enjoyed my chicken biryani - both the taste and the presentation. The man in charge of front of house managed that rare act of being professional but also witty, which made for a fun customer experience. The atmosphere and ambience is wonderful with good attention to detail. The decor is elegant and modern. The staff were attentive, polite, enthusiastic and welcoming throughout our meal. The food was exquisite.A light, crunchy salt cod fishcake served on piquant onions and sweet peppers, topped with an egg. The plate was dressed with a parsley drizzle. Divine. The roast sirloin of beef was deep with flavour. The roast potatoes were of the triple cooked variety, judging by the crisp crust and fluffy insides. A huge homemade Yorkshire, and mixed - perfectly cooked - fresh vegetables made up the rest of the main.Raspberry souffle for dessert was crunchy topped, tart in taste, incredibly light in texture and served with a rich vanilla ice cream which complimented it beautifully. An excellent meal and dining experience.Highly recommended.
