I loved this place when I first visited it, finding it on my way to the city center, just strolling around and in desperate need of a pit-stop. The ambience, the nice décor, the service and the awesome drinks. This was a few years back, and I have been back a couple of times. In 2019 we popped in for drinks and ended up having a great lunch, something has changed, yet it still has a lovely interior and both drinks and food is lovely, so still up there.

PRIMI Camps Bay will satisfy you biggest cravings for pizza, pasta and more. Come enjoy passionate service and good food in generous portions.
This is a lovely italian restaurant. The pizzas are thin based and very tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can eat in or order takeaway if you fancy going out. Beware 'going large' The 'small' portion is sufficient. Or don't have a starter. Recommend to visitor to Camps Bay

Dash Restaurant & Bar, although it caters for Queen Victoria Hotel guests, is a stand-alone establishment that welcomes patrons from near and far. Extraordinary artworks embellish the walls in a bold fashion. Further, a live pianist sets the tone during d
Excellent food..... I had the risotto and my husband had the sea bass dish- both were very tasty... We split the cheesecake dish for dessert- also delicious. The service was impeccable, as was the piano music and singing in the outer room. We had breakfast there as well... same excellent quality as the dinner. Definitely recommend.Good day We appreciate that you took the time to write this review on your recent experience at Dash restaurant We always strive to exceed our guests expectation and the team in the restaurant are key to this success as they are extreme passionate about creating intimate guest experiences. And we are so pleased to know that you like our new menu items that we offer and that you enjoyed the atmosphere created by the pianist. I will definitely relate this feedback to the chef and the rest of the team we look forward into welcoming you back for another journey at DashMany thanks Mark

It is really vibey for afternoon drinks, but if you want to have dinner and a conversation, I would recommend a different restaurant. The music is too loud and at the same time competing with the neighbouring bars.We could not have a normal conversation without having to shout in order to hear each other. We left after drinks to find a more suitable place.Dear Lisak, Thank you very much for your message. Much appreciated. You may have come on a Live Thursdays Event. On Thursdays we do have live music and in deed it is noisier than usually. A lot of people book for these events and the correct balance is sometimes difficult to find. Please do not hesitate to contact the manager so we can make a plan and make sure that you can have a decent conversation during your dinner. Please feel free to send us an email to [email protected] with REF lisakG3778XB and I would be happy to invite chat with you privately. Kind regards, Gilles

We were staying in a small boutique hotel nearby and found Upper Bloem by walking down the street and "window shopping" for a place to eat. WOW! Were we ever pleased at finding this place. it is a different set menu each night...small plates to share. Don't let this scare you off. It is OK to not order off a menu sometimes and just let the chef feed you!! The food is amazingly good. the wait staff is very professional and knowledgeable about the food they are presenting you. Eat Here. You won't be disappointed.

This has to be one of the most awesome afternoon teas ever! We arrived in Cape Town from London at lunchtime and had pre-booked (and paid for) Afternoon Tea at the Mount Nelson and it was the most perfect start to our holiday imaginable! Our waitress was fantastic and brought along pots of all the variations of teas we had ordered, sandwiches and the most interesting selection of savouries....every one a taste sensation. Follow this with scones with Jam and Cream...and as if that wasn't enough, there was an enormous buffet of sweet treats inside. I'm not mad about cakes and deserts so it would have been a waste to bring along a tray of cakes for our table, but being able to go and choose something was a perfect finish to the tea! We did of course include a glass or two of Cape Fizz to celebrate our arrival.Fantastic value and fantastic service! The only down side was that our pre-payment didn't seem to have been passed to the Head Waiter and while we were due to pay for the addition of Sparkling Wine, it took some time (and trust) for them to let us go back to our hotel and forward the email confirmation we had received from their reservations team. Not an ideal end to our afternoon tea, but nothing bad enough to stop me from recommending this place to everyone who visits Cape Town! I will just take a print of my confirmation next timeDear Margi,Thank you for the great review and it's such a delight to read how much you enjoyed the offering! We do note the feedback on the payment communication, we have investigated and the necessary steps have been taken to avoid on future visits. We do hope you had a great time in Cape Town and looking forward to welcoming you back on the next trip!Best regards,Johann L. BadenhorstFood and Beverage Manager

My friends and family and I have dined in many locations around the world, and at many fine dining restaurants. This restaurant is in our top five or top three experiences. The service is impeccable. The food is gourmet, and is memorable and delicious and like nothing you've had before. It is delicious. The wine list is excellent. The setting and view are stunning. And the prices, as compared to US prices, are amazingly inexpensive for the quality of the food and experience. This restaurant now goes by the name Salsify. Go!

Soak up the atmosphere of our timeless dining room while savouring much-loved classics and impeccable service. The elegant, wood-panelled space dates from the hotelâs inauguration in 1899. It was here that, in 1994, President Nelson Mandela welcomed the w
We dined here this week, and had a most enjoyable meal.Lovely historic room, well spaced tables. We shared the signature beef Wellington, and it was still too large for 2. But it was excellent.Wine list is well sized and with good selection.Good service.Overall a good experience.Dear Northern Wanderer, thank you for the beautiful review, we are truly delighted that you had such an enjoyable time with us. This has to be my favourite restaurant Iâve ever been to. From the moment we arrived the team were so attentive. The taster menu is excellent and even better with the paired wines. Everything blended so well together. Brilliant service, great tasting food and wine. Next time Iâm here Iâll be back. Fantastic

It was Heritage Day....and we walked here from Company Gardens. Even arrived before it's 6:30 PM opening and Jane was MOST cordial.Liked the atmosphere...sort of funky......our waiter was Simon and he was terrific! The complimentary starter was delicious. the Jordan House Wine "hit the spot". My bengal Fish Curry did NOT measure up to the curry at Seabreeze, but that's OK and hubby had the RUMP in blue cheese and garlic sauce. Superb. However, Jane, the portion of wok veggies that came w/the rump could certainly be MORE ample. Portion of wok veggies MUCH too small.Had a great conversation with the couple at the table next to us.Dinner with tip................R 668. By the time we left most tables were occupied!
