Went for lunch on Fatherâs Day. Friendly welcome and attentive service. Sunday roasts (chicken, beef & lamb) sampled. All very very good. Ample portion and so tasty. Fresh modern feel inside. Plenty of free parking outside. Though not cheap but fab choice for treats and notable events.

FORK at the Royal Berkshire Hotel is an exciting new restaurant that's open to hotel guests and local residents alike. It has a modern, welcoming ambience thanks to the contemporary design and fresh colour scheme of yellow, grey and black set against the
I was treated to Afternoon tea by my friends for my special significant Birthday.whilst their afternoon cream tea was lovely,my Gluten/dairy free cream tea was inedible ; The bread on the roll was quite tough, may had been frozen. The cakes tasted dry and were tasteless or left a peculiar taste in your mouth;.the shortbread and scones was strange and dry texture.plus the creams one clotted one pouring were tasteless ,one was grey in colour .My friends tried the the food to all said it was awful. We challenged the waitress to taste them but she declined . The did deduct the price of my cream tea , but i was really upset for my friends ,as the gone to a lot of trouble of making sure i could be included and enjoy an afternoon cream tea treat.I have eaten a lot of delicious gluten free cakes so it can be achieved. and in a prestigious hotel this was really in acceptable.

First awarded a Michelin star in October 2016 & 4 rosettes by The AA in 2018, The Tudor Room is a richly decorated dining room, boasting silk lined walls and a dominant seventeenth century tapestry. With just 8 tables, The Tudor Room offers a tasting menu
Having stayed at the property before many years ago we booked a special package for D,B&B for my husbands Birthday & Our Anniversary. The Tudor room wasnât available previously and as weâre keen foodies we really wanted to give this place a try. The whole experience was wonderful, we started in the bar with G&Tâs and were escorted through to the beautiful room, where thankfully the decoration has not been modernised like other parts of the hotel. The menu is a seven course taster menu where you get an option on a number of courses and we were very happy with the choices (sometimes with taster menus this is not the case). What is good is that the restaurant offers ½ bottles of wine which as I only drink White and my Husband loves Red meant we could each indulge without worrying about having to finish the whole bottle. Not once did we have to fill up our own glasses and our water glasses were topped up continually throughout the evening. Each dish was explained as it was presented to us, the service and food was exceptional. The highlight of our stay.Dear Boho1979Thank you for your review and congratulations on your birthday and anniversary! I am delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed your meal and the experience overall. I loo forward welcoming you back soon again. With kind regardsSandra MuellerGeneral Manager

The Half Moon in Windlesham is a traditional Free-house pub and restaurant on the edge of Windlesham village, still after 105 years run by the same family. We pride ourselves on our family friendly atmosphere and values, with a relaxing garden, patio and
We went as a family with two small children for dinner tonight. We first sat out in the garden, which is great for children. However, smoking is allowed everywhere, including the area next to the little playground, and the table next to us was occupied by smokers. So we decided to move inside for eating. The food was fine but there was no service. The staff who brought the food never came back to check if everything was ok. We were not offered any sauces so i had to get up and find someone I could ask for ketchup. Then again for a small spoon for children to eat. At the end someone came to ask if we had finished, and he then cleared the table without a smile or without asking if we enjoyed the meal/ if everything was alright etc. Lovely premises, great for families and small children (nice baby changing in the womenâs bathroom) but completely let down by the lack of service. We cannot recommend and wonât be back until management decide to start training their staff. Thank you, Cathrin for taking the time to leave a response and especially for bringing up the issue of smoking in the garden. Unfortunately, this is a difficult one for us as we cannot stop people smoking or vaping outside. We do rely on smokers being mindful of non smokers and especially not smoking near the children's play area and we have not had any issues up until a few weeks back. We have tried to move some tables away from the play area but they get moved back. We have also taken the ashtrays from some of the closest tables but the cigarette butts often then end up on the grass. We are trying to work out a solution and can only apologise whilst this continues to be a work in progress. The sauces should have been in the baskets we provide outside with your cutlery and serviettes and our apologies if they were missing. The serving staff have been spoken to to ensure they are always refilled. As for the person not checking in on you our apologies. This is certainly not the normal level of service we provide and we do hope you will consider giving us another try.

We visited Stovell's for a wedding anniversary celebration following a recommendation. The whole evening was a joy(!) from being greeted upon arrival, having a drink at the bar, being seated, served and dined. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Service was exemplary! Both the ambiance and environment were lovely and well suited for a wonderful fine-dining experience!Food wise, we ordered a selection of starters (crab and octopus to name but two) from the a la carte menu and were not disappointed. For mains, we opted for the beef wellington (comes with a customised twist!) and the lobster - both were very well presented and full of flavour with wonderful texture. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening/dining experience and would not hesitate in recommending Stovell's to our friends and family. We will definitely be back!
