Been here many times. It is one of our favorites. Make sure you save room for desert because they always have excellent deserts! Service is great. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is in a quick check strip mall. It is great food. They also do takeout, have outdoor dining in the summer. It is also a bring your own place so grab your favorite bottle of wine and bring it with you. I have also used them for catering at our house for a holiday party before as well and the food and service were great.
Soups On Main serves organic-style foods, farm-to-ladle, pot-to-table in a cozy, setting on historic Hackettstown Main Street. We offer a selection of healthy, fresh, organic-style soups, organic sourdough bread, and an assortment of hot and cold organic
We stopped by in the middle of the afternoon today for lunch. We each had a medium chicken soup with rice and an organic bottled tea, and we split a Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was tasty, the soup was good with lots of chicken and I'd especially note that the soup was not overly salted the way most establishments serve it. I forgot to ask if the rice was whole grain. The bread with the soup was very good, and the bread on the sandwich (which may have been the same) was toasted and excellent. The total price was a little more than we expected, but we didn't see an itemized bill to figure out why we were surprised.
