Triple Star is a little hole-in-the-wall Chinese food restaurant that does a big carry-out and delivery business. Customers can also dine there, but the seating area is very run-down, with broken seats in the booths, and though the tables are generally clean, sometimes the dirty blinds or walls can be a little unappetising. Triple Star has a large menu full of favorites, and most of their food is tasty. Generally, the food is decently prepared: food is cut into the right size, produce is decent quality, and the sauces are good. There are two caveats. First, it's not fine dining or the same quality that you would find in Cheng Du, for example, where the flavors are more sophisticated and the overall quality is higher. Second, on two occasions, I found foreign objects in the food (a bit of plastic from a lid and a little piece of metal from a dish scrubber). This, however, was in the course of ordering perhaps fifty times from them, so it's not a rampant problem. If you're looking for a quick lunch or on-the-way-home dinner pick-up, give Triple Star a try.

We were having a birthday party and ordered food from New Asia and we were not disappointed. The seafood soup was very good, nice broth, full of vegetables and seafood. The chicken with broccoli was wonderful: tender chicken and perfectly cooked broccoli. Everything else was great: crispy egg rolls, crab rangoon, General Tso's chicken, shrimp with pepper and tomato, etc. There are coupons in the menu. We liked the idea that we could have brown rice. Credit cards accepted. They deliver within a certain radius of distance. We will order from them again.

Visiting the area for the 2019 Connecticut Golf Show and somehow I always have my Sunday night dinner here. This time, I was alittle disappointed, not in the food, but in the service. My server, Ken, was not the friendliest of people. Altho, I was in a hurry, and my food came out quick, he just didn't seem that friendly. I wanted to substitute fried rice for my white rice that came with my dinner and it was going to be $6 and I thought that was way too much...

I hate to ruin such good reviews but while this was a different experience for us, this place was missing some of our favorite items like Won Ton soup and hot tea. The soup noodles were good, but we have had better and the chicken dish was mostly fatty and grisly dark meat. After dinner I asked if we could have ordered breast chicken but was told it was not possible. The two entrees of Nammy noodles with shrimp and teriyaki chicken were good, except for the dark meat. I was gracious in giving them 3 stars. The service was fine but the place was empty on a Saturday night at 6:30. Dear Guest, Please accept our apologies in failing to meet your menu item expectations as well as meat choices. Please give me a call to discuss the matter further. I have shared the feedback with our chefs who prep the meat and they were told to be more careful during trimming and slicing process. Anyhow, We still wanted to extend our deepest apologies from all of us here at nummy. We strive to be the place that is nothing buy nummy and inviting in sharing of great dine-in experience.Thank you for spending the time to share your feedback with us. Nummy

I tried Han Restaurant for dinner with a group of 4 adults and 3 children. We each had our own hotpot and ordered a huge selection of meats, seafood, and veggies for the whole table to choose from. I chose the Chengdu Hot & Spicy broth, and it was incredible! The heat-spice level was enough to get your tastebuds awake without bringing you to tears. The meats I personally liked best were the Shu Spicy Beef and the Angus Sirloin. The lamb was fine but I probably won't order that again when I go back. The flounder filet was very good as were all the veggies we got.Service at Han started out extremely attentive. I think we ended up with 4 or 5 people helping us throughout the night. All of the servers were very friendly. Unfortunately, we waited about half an hour to get the bill and try to pay it at the table at the end of our 3-hour stay. At least they didn't rush us out, but it's a good thing we didn't have anywhere to go after dinner. We finally got up and paid at the front.I'm not surprised their food is so good because the other restaurant run by the same owners is also fantastic...Shu Restaurant in Shield St Plaza in West Hartford. These guys know what they're doing! Authentic Szechuan cuisine superbly prepared, served by very friendly staff, and at a reasonable price...doesn't get better than that!

Read some good reviews so it was my first time dining here and I chose this place for the awesome $10 dinner specials menu. Drove here to find out they are not serving the $10 dinner specials tonight because of the New Years Day holiday?!? Won't be coming back here.

This restaurant offers authentic Sichuan dishes, most notably, the soups. We all had one of the specialty soups, which come with beef or pork and rice noodles. The bowls are huge, so a soup bowl is most definitely enough as a full dinner, well, maybe with appetizers! We had the scallion pancakes and dumplings for appetizers, both of which were delicious. I think what characterizes Song is the authentic nature of these dishes. They are purely Sichuan, not Chinese American or fusion. Song was a real treat. Enjoy!

Shu is considerably more "authentic" than most local Chinese restaurants and heavily patronized by local Asian diners. You won't find some of the overly-sweet Americanized staples here, but even cautious eaters will still find some familiar and pleasing dishes. The menu features many items not usually found elsewhere, such as cuttlefish, rice jello, whole fish with pickled vegetable, corn pie, and lotus, which will please the more adventurous. For the less adventurous, you will find chicken in black bean sauce, noodles in peanut sauce, dumplings, and Lo Main. There are plenty of vegetarian choices. We tried a duck entree which turned out to be mu shu duck with pancakes. Unlike the dish at other restaurants which are primarily a mound of cooked vegetables with a little duck, this was a mound of duck with some greens on the side; it was delicious. We tried the chicken with black bean sauce because I love the funky, fermented bean taste, but I was disappointed. There were almost no beans at all, and no fermented bean flavor. It was very bland, and more like Hunan chicken without any heat. Our party also tried three different dumplings. The steamed vegetable dumplings with a soy-based dipping sauce were delicate but bland. The Seven Flavor wontons and Hot and Sour wontons had lots of flavor, and despite the two chili heat rating, really weren't too hot at all. In general, we were pleased with the food and definitely plan to go back, making sure that we order foods with chilis beside the title. Service was excellent, very attentive. Our courses arrived on time. (We did see a table that came in later served their dinners before we were, but it was because we ordered appetizers and they didn't.) If you plan to go on a Friday and don't have reservations, arrive before 7 pm; it started filling up then, and there was a line waiting to get in by 8 pm. Plenty of parking in the lot. BTW, if you want to shop at A Dong, it closes at 8 pm.
