Had a tamilnadu plaintain leaf meals. Enjoyed very much. Good Hiway veg restaurant on NH4.Had Kumbakonnam Degree Coffee served in Brass Tumbler. Good service. Bought manaparai murukku, tirunelveli halwa, srivilliputtur palcova, kovilpatti kadalai mittai etc. Good hospitality and good service.Ideal spot for taking a break during Chenai - Bangalore trip...

I visited this restaurant with my family for all courses offered ( Breakfast ,Lunch & Dinner ) with my family during my recent visit to Vellore.The first thing which is noteworthy about this restaurant is that the Head Chef Rafiq is a true team leader and his team members are accessible should you have any special instructions on the food or cuisine.The restaurant stewards are a fine breed of professionals and proactive people who would always cater to your requests and make you interface with the Head Chef or any member of the food production team should it be needed for you.Food is no frill but very tasty ,simple and simply cheer up your taste buds.I wonder that there are only few kitchen in the city of Vellore who can deliver quality as good as Rongo.You should try their Chinese clear soups,fish cuisine and Lunch Thalis which are mind blowing.Do visit Rongo and push the chefs for " Yeh Dil Maange More"

Bang's Chicken shares the restuarant with Vellore Biriyani. We found the fried chicken to be excellent along with the spicy fries. We are there several times. The owner who helped us was very personable and spoke good english... which was important for we Americans.

The food there tastes predictable and always the same. So we eat here quite often. The Julian Chicken, Pork dishes and American Chop Suey are good.Don't expect any ambience - its just an AC room. We usually meet up as friends and eat and discuss things.Unfortunately last time one person ended up with a bad gastro enteritis after eating here. So be careful.
