Helmed by Sam Leong, the award winning celebrity chef, Forest is a Cantonese-fusion restaurant that serves a plethora of creations that combines the old world wok-style cooking with the new world creativity.Having dined here several times in the past and since its inception, it was sort of home-coming for me to connect with Sam Leong's creativity.Located at the West end of RWS, parking is conveniently located at the Equarius Hotel. The wood coloured interior decor replicates the feeling of being in a wooded area of a forest and the open kitchen & high ceiling evokes a completely open spaced dining experience. In its effort to attract more lunch traffic, their 3 course Executive set lunch is pretty much value for money and wallet friendly too. I was here for lunch but wanted the 8-course dinner with wine pairings menu and the maitre d' was very obliging in setting me up for that.First off was a nice glass of sauvignon blanc from Misty Bay NZ. By the end of the course, we would've down 2 whites and 2 reds, and I must say the selection of the wines were excellent pairing with the food being served.I must say the entire dining experience was very well curated and gustatory, taking you from the mellow savoury to balsamic fiery and switching to mouthwatering savoury to succulent ambrosia. While the salt baked braised abalone was flavorsome, the black truffle was completely lost in this dish as its nutty and earthy aroma was not present and its taste bland by the heat of the baking.I particularly like the braised beef shank was it was so succulent and tender. Ending the meal with a lemon-curd pie to rinse your palate of the rich aftertaste adds a nice finish to the dining experience.Forest is a good place to celebrate one's special occasion and to enjoy Cantonese cuisine with a modern twist.Dear EmbracetheUnknownThank you for taking your time to review Forest via Tripadvisor We are glad to hear you and your friends have enjoyed the dinner with us, we will share your comments with both service and culinary team. Once again, thank you and looking forward to welcoming you back to Forest Restaurant Best regards Zac Zhu Operations Manager

Buffet breakfast on level 6 was our secret retreat every morning, thanks to the recommendation of the waitress. Eggs cooked to order every day, fresh fruit, cold meats, vegetable sticks, pastries, toast, noodles, curry, rice, cooked breakfast and variety of juices on offer. Offering both indoor and balcony tables which overlooked the fish pond, this is highly recommended if you want to avoid the queues and crowds at breakfast time. All staff were super friendly and helpful.

Located at the idyllic Quayside Isle at Sentosa Cove, Blue Lotus is a casual dining restaurant that serves traditional Chinese dishes over stunning views of the marina. The menu features traditional items with a modern twist and offers their very own sign
Weâd seen that the restaurant was frequently busy and were keen to try. The food was excellent as was the service (mostly). We thoroughly enjoyed the calamari, lemongrass prawns and and pork Bao. For mains we loved the salt baked chicken, Szechuan prawns, Kai lan and sweet and sour pork with lychee. However we were utterly astounded and dumbfounded that the restaurant doesnât serve iced / tap water. Unbelievable in this day and age. We queried and were told it was âcompany policyâ to only serve bottled still or sparkling.

This is a very busy Chinese restaurant in VivoCity, and for food reason. We ordered 3 medium sized dishes between 2 of us. Whilst the sweet and sour pork was just ok, the sizzling lamb dish was excellent. Our fried tofu with spicy prawn topping was also a nice surprise.Service was very helpful. We initially ordered large dishes but were advised this was too much for 2 people, which definitely would have been the case. You donât always get that! We would definitely return.

We visited for dinner on 1st day of Chinese New Year without prior reservation - given the overwhelming crowd, the crew were fantastic! Good communication on intercom systems, ensuring efficiency from the front door staff managing seating, to the staff taking orders, to the kitchen turnaround. It was clearly explained to us prior to entry that they had run out of Sri Lanka mud crabs and only had Alaskan crabs available. We ordered baby squid, scallops with yam, cereal prawns and seafood fried rice. Food was tasty albeit a bit heavy on taste (but consisered normal for Chinese restaurant.) Bill came up to SGD100 with the towels, condiments and tea. Note: The crew were all experienced staff, very polite and very efficient. I saw multiple instances where they asked "how can I help?" to both customers and to each other. Kudos!

This restaurant is part of a chain, but does really excellent steamed bao and dim sum. The dishes arrive as and when prepared - tapas-style. So be prepared to get your meal in stages. The management really should explain this system in advance, on their menus, as it can otherwise lead to unnecessary angst!

The reason for DTFâs success is they serve not great, but decent-quality food at fairly reasonable prices. Service at this outlet is more pro-active than at other branches, although most staff members come from China and their English is still quite limited. All restaurants in Singapore must charge 7% GST, and service charge is almost always 10%. Only hawker stalls and food courts are GST-free, and they donât have service charge. So you can safely ignore rednecksâ reviews.

We came for a Sunday lunch and the "easy to park" basement carpark is fully redeemable. On arrival, I was thrilled by the lovely decor and our seats were very comfortable. Three of us chose the set menu which costs a reasonable $59 each. It consists of a choice of six dim sum items, soup, a choice of three meat in dainty portion, a choice of noodles (5 types to choose from) and a choice of dessert. My husband ordered ala carte as he was on a vegetarian diet. All of us had a complimentary glass of hawthorn juice and a dainty appetiser. The dim sum was tasty and not salty. The seafood noodle was very impressive. They gave a complimentary dessert to my husband. We also had a small piece of cheese cake with a candle as we were there on my daughter's birthday. The service was especially good and we felt really pampered by them. After lunch, we walked to view the plaque signifying the meeting spot for the Trump-Kim Summit. I would strongly recommend a meal here to be pampered.Dear Kim025Singapore,Thank you for sharing! I am so happy to know that you and your family enjoyed the lunch and the sumptuous delicacies prepared by Chef Lee and his team were to your liking. Looking forward to welcome all of you back again soon!Warm regards,Andrew BurnsDirector of Food and Beverage
