I've tried this place a few times and I don't seem to like it. I think it's mixed on the value of what you get with some orders. It tastes a bit weird though and some of the items I've ordered taste extremely strong.
The atmosphere is by far the best part of this place. The food was average at best and honestly not worth what I paid. I had generals chicken which seemed to be a very small portion. Also had a full order of the beef lo mein. Spaghetti noodles with no flavor and VERY little beef. I mean like 4 peices. Had an order of crab rangoon and I will say that 2 of the 4 pieces were good but the other two had only cream cheese in them. They were very creamy though. I liked that they have a drive thru if you call ahead which is a big plus but for the money I will only go back on tuesdays when china wok across the street is closed
Where to eat Pizza food in Raymore: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I travel different cities/states each week, and this week, in eastern and central Missouri, I haven't had a good meal in 4 days. I usually find a good Mongolian/Hibachi grill so I can create my own dish, but the only place near my hotel this evening was the Chinese Wok.Very little selection here. The sliced chicken was rubber. The sliced beef was pink. All the dishes featured the same brown, very average sauce. Hot and sour soup was nearly tasteless and barely had any of the normal ingredients. The spring rolls were good; I had only 2 and they never replenished the tray. The egg rolls were mushy. There were no cashews in the cashew chickenI ate all the veggies I could dig out of the selections, and the green beans were pretty good.My iced tea was nearly clear and arrived with maybe 3 ice cubes. I requested more ice and this resulted in maybe 9 ice cubes added. The people working there are not happy and I'm sure they don't realize their food is bad. I work in customer service, and have for over 40 years. In my opinion, they've lost sight of why they're in business. Heck, they can't even serve iced tea properly.JK
I haven't eaten at a Panda Express in quite awhile until this one. The orange chicken is what I remember. It is very tasty. We tried another sweet and sour type dish and it was exceptionally sweeter than what I'm used to. I'd go back for the orange chicken for sure.
The best thing about Taste of China is that it is made to order. You can place your order and watch them make it as you wait. Also, they will work with you on any special dietary needs. The lady that owns it works the register and is extremely friendly. Is it the best Chinese food I've ever had, no. But for a small town place, it is pretty good Chinese food.
Most Popular Italian food in Raymore, Missouri, United States
We came here at the prompting of our teenage daughter. We normally like Chinese buffets so decided to try this one out. They have a good selection of food, but most of it was very bland or tasted like oil. The sushi bar only had a few things labeled and it didn't look very fresh. My daughter and her friend had been here before, but said it wasn't as good as the last time. Maybe they were having an off night or maybe it's just starting to slowly go downhill. The saving grace was our really attentive waiter who kept our drinks filled and our table clear. Otherwise I might have given it 2 stars.
