Best Buffet

My cousin had been here before and while we were shopping in Quincy on a Sunday afternoon, she wanted to go here for late lunch. I'm from California, where there are amazing Chinese buffets everywhere you go. WOW ! I had no idea you could get just as good a selection of well prepared Chinese food on the ILL/ MO state line ! So many great choices of salads, veggies and meat entrees that I couldn't even try all that I wanted to. Very clean buffet and dining room and welcoming attentive wait staff. Will be my go-to for Chinese when I retire in Missouri.

This was a great place for a long time. Enormous fresh salad bar, fresh soups daily, and you could select hot items from the hot bar or Chinese. Prices were very fair, food very freah and good. They completely re-designed it, went to a restaurant type format. No salad bar, no access to Chinese or hot offereings, menu only. Food is blah, and prices are high. Huge mistake by Hy-Vee. Based on what I knew of the previous setup, and how busy it always was. The place always looks deserted. Too bad. Lots of people I talk to really miss the old place with the great salad bar and great prices.

Good food, good selection, parking is around in back of the building and not the most convenient for people with mobility issues (we ended up helping an older couple get out and back to their car).Good selection on the buffet, not the largest in town but food was fresh during lunch time.

Tried it twice. Food lukewarm at best both times. Told the person in charge, and they simply shrugged their shoulders. Staff appears bored beyond description to get your food. The seating area has the ambience of a bus station. Makes McDonalds look like The Four Seasons. It's Best Buffet for me- hot, fresh food, friendly staff, and possibly even less expensive.
