Things to do in Pine Brook
To drive by this new chinese restaurant would be a mistake. There is an extensive menu that features Shanghai cuisine, and it is authentic, so the sauces are on the sweeter side. We began with the Minced Chicken w/garlic sauce appetizer. The chicken was plentiful and mildly spicy and it was topped with pine nuts, which added great flavor and a nice crunch. For the main course, we tried the Bone In Chicken with a slightly sweet thick soy sauce. We also had the Shrimp Duet, which was beautifully presented (this is NOT your typical Chinese-American fare). On one side of the dish, the shrimp were covered in a bright orange sauce (made from fresh sqeezed OJ) and topped with a glazed walnut. The flavors were heavenly. The shrimp on the other side of the dish were equally good, though completely different in taste, as they were tossed in a red, mildly spicy sauce that had a sweet finish. Service was friendly and attentive. FU Resaurant is definitely worth a visit!

Always enjoy eating here when in town. Always greeted with a fresh pot of hot tea. Wonderful service, always attentive, nice atmosphere, and superb food. Have tried many items on menu and never had a bad meal.

When the weather gets cold, we come here for lunch. I really enjoy the idea of personalized hot pot as you can get whatever you want, cook it however you want, and just enjoy it, without having to worry about the fact that person A does not do pork and person B does not like spicy food. The lunch really is a good deal. For $11 you get a full plate of veggies, a plate of meat (choose from fatty beef, fatty lamb, chicken, premium beef), and a type of noodle (glass noddle, rice noodle, instant noodle, udon). And it costs only around $12 with all you can eat ice cream. I am 5'8'', 165# height-weight proportional male and I struggled a little to finish my food. I will continue to come back.
Great take out, very good dumplings and steak and peppers. Hav them read the order back to you to make sure it is correct.

They are relatively new, just tried them today, near a bunch of hotels, and very tasty!
Extremely crowded on weekend lunch hours. Hard to find parking. Standing room wait for dimsum lunch. Suggestion: either get there earlier or after the busy rush. After 1pm, it was less chaotic, more relaxed/less stress environment and more enjoyable to eat lunch. Make reservations for big groups. They give you a paper ticket with your queue number. In the past, it seemed like they gave you preferential treatment (seated you first & cut in line) if you were Chinese - I'm glad they give you a paper ticket with number now.Overall the food is superb! Their fried chicken is delicious (dip it in soy sauce with lemon)! Their duck is good too as long as its still hot. I'm a dimsum fan but some of my favorite items (i.e. crab claw, dofu, baked pork buns) were not available during our visit. The dumplings are always a hit. The service is swift and attentive; you don't have just 1 particular server. I think we had 8 servers checked up on us. The dimsum carts stopped by our table every 3 to 5 minutes. If you don't see what you want in the cart, they will bring it to you straight from the kitchen. We also ordered from the regular menu. I love that they keep refilling my hot tea pot! You definitely will leave here stuffed.

You can watch long noodles being rolled out by hand. Kids seemed to get a big kick out of this and even get a piece of dough to try it too.Noodles in big bowls of rich beef and chicken soup, saute'd noodles, beef, chicken, pork, lamb, duck and vegetarian. Entrees are generous, appetizers are tasty and soup bowls are huge, think a big bowl of Pho. You get a pair of scissors to cut your noodles! If you like your chicken, beef, duck without any skin or fat, this place is not for you. The skin, fat, bones and muscles all add to depth and richness of the stocks, soups and sauces. Shan Shan is not an Americanized Chinese restaurant. Our friends enjoyed it, my wife won't go back and I would be more cautious if I did.
