Palm Beach has long lured America's big name social elite, from the Kennedys to the Pulitzers to the Trumps. If you don't have the Jaguar, catch a Palm Tram around the city. Opulent extravagance is the order of the day. But if you can take your eyes off the glittering procession of socialites and the prices at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Spa and in Worth Avenue stores, there are plenty of other sights to be seen. Don't miss Henry Morrison Flagler Museum or the hopping nightlife on Clematis Street.

Embark on an extraordinary culinary journey at Echo and discover the tantalizing elements of taste and irresistible allure of one of Palm Beach's most acclaimed restaurants. Tempt your palate with the delicious flavors of Asia and experience the distinct
We planned our anniversary dinner to coincide with Echo's happy hour on Friday. We were perplexed when we arrived: "no happy hour this Friday due to an event". You can't give us reasonably priced drinks because you have other people patronizing your restaurant? OK. We ordered the dim sum appetizer. The rangoon was fine, there was a cashew chicken bite that was cold. Nothing amazing. We ordered two entrees which were both perfectly fine but only slightly above regular takeout- the honey chicken being better than the crispy beef. Overall, it's fine, but PF Changs has them beat.

Like to eat? Like Asian foods? Like fresh ingredients? Like to cook? Like a different kind of dining experience? Then you might want to try the Hot Pot if you haven't already experienced this type of dining. After being seated, the charming Tracy came to explain the cooking process, the choices, and answered questions regarding the eight different broths, one of which would be the one in which to cook the chosen ingredients. She directed us to the (buffet) area where diners choose the fresh, ever plentiful, ever replenished protein items and other ingredients. Among the choices were trays of thinly sliced beef, pork, lamb, pig's tongue, octopus, squid, pig's brain, tripe, frog's legs, clams, scallops, shrimp, crab, tofu, and so much more. At the end of the buffet items was a cart containing many condiments with which diners could flavor their choices and/or their broth. Our broths were in place when we returned to our seats. A conveyor drive with plates or containers containing veggies, dumplings, and greens constantly passed by seated diners allowing them to reach for the ones they wanted. Let the fun begin. Time to cook the chosen ingredients in the hot pots situated in front of the diners. There seems to be no limit to the amount of concoctions one can create. There's no limit to the amount of times a diner can visit the buffet choices. But, there is a limit as to how much one can eat. After three trips for the main ingredients, I had to stop if I wanted dessert. Fresh fruit, four flavors of ice cream, a couple of pastries, and a small container of chocolate mouse were the choices. This was an enjoyable dinner for us and we'd like to return. Some may think the $25.50 per person is steep, but if you have a big appetite and/or choose the higher end foods, you just might get your money's worth. Please give a like if this review and/or photos is helpful. Thank you.
