An affluent suburb of New York City, the hamlet is located 18 miles (29 km) north of the city at its closest point, Riverdale, Bronx. Within Rockland County, New City is located north of Bardonia, northeast of Nanuet, east of New Square and New Hempstead, south of Garnerville and Haverstraw village, and west, straight across Lake DeForest, of Congers. This restaurant has become a frequent choice for my husband and I after a trip to the movies. The food is fresh, delicious and nicely presented. Staff is attentive. And it's always fun to sit in one of the booths next to the fish tanks.

This place is right around the corner from my home....have ordered from them for many years...the food used to be good...then went to ok...now it's horrible....have no idea why their quality has changed....the pork fried rice is yellow rice with some onions...lucky if you find a piece of pork...as a steady customer they started charging extra for a small bag of fried noodles...egg rolls are smaller and not as tasty....there are too many other Chinese food places that offer mediocore or better food and they all deliver..

We have been ordering from this place on an off for years now. Don't know why we keep going back and forth between places but this place is consistently very good. The food is always served hot and fresh and it always very tasty. They have some things that you just can't get anywhere else in the area. For instance, the baked roast pork buns. I used to get these in Chinatown in the City and I was so happy to find them close to home. This take out place has excellent food and friendly service. I have to make it a point to go back there again soon.

Trying to find a good Chinese take-out in the New City area seems impossible...gone are the days when pork fried rice actually had diced pork in it...some other vegetables other than onions...like bean sprouts...beef w/broccoli should be called "Broccoli w/Magic Beef"....the beef must disappear when you open the carton...eggrolls should be crisp...not mushy...same with fried dumplings...also mushy...all things considered...First Wok is just another failure in a long list of 'more of the same"....

Upon entering the parking lot, parking is less due to fencing of the area, and next door construction. It is worth the wait to park because the food is very good. There are numerous hot and cold dishes. If you like seafood, there is shrimp, clams, calamari, sushi,and crab legs. Meat, fish, and chicken dishes, salad, various desserts, and frozen ice cream. All are fresh and tasty. The restaurant is clean, and staff is friendly and on cue for refills, and taking away finished plates. Still the best choice for Chinese food buffet.

Seems like they change their chef.. My son loved this place before and we go there when we crave for Chinese food. Last time food was tasteless and seems more like take out food...Have not gone back since.
