I came to Red Pavilion for lunch with a friend. He thought it was the best Chinese food around. After we had lunch, we both concluded that at least on that day it was only average. We both had the lunch combo. I had a small salad and the ruby red chicken with brown rice. The staff is very nice and the service is very good.

I stopped in the day they opened and was not sure what to expect. After looking through the menu decided on the Honey Chicken with fried rice. It said that it came with a "special dressing", but, I was expecting something similar to what I've had in other Chinese restaurants. I had to ask the waitress what it was, because it was not like any I had had before on a Chinese dish. It was a mixture of mayo and other ingredients and I did not care for it. The fried rice was good, so, thought I would try again, which I did a few days later. I ordered the Sesame Beef again with fried rice and liked the dish very well. A little too sweet, but good. I will try other items on the menu as I think that their food is good, but, I would not recommend the Honey Chicken.

I enjoyed my supper at Joy Garden. I had the Chicken and Broccoli with white rice and it was perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. The serving was very large, so I took enough home for another meal. My server, sorry I didn't get her name, was very nice. Not many people there as I went early, right after work. I would definitely eat there again if I'm ever in the area again.

We've been here a few times. Always friendly service. A fair amount of items to choose from, but somewhat limited compared to similar places. Could have used a few more sauce choices. Great value - very reasonably priced. If you're in the area, it's worth a try.
