Visited with wife and daughter mid June 2018. We used to come here all the time between 2004-2014 and always enjoyed it.Woah! What happened? When did they stop bothering about the food? Very poor range of starters and mains. Several dishes were empty and were clearly never going to be replenished. The chicken dishes were both super dry and very âsameyâ could not tell the difference between them.The beef dishes were tough. Donât think there were any fish or shrimp choices at all. The starters were terrible with more empty containers than anything else. The sauces were all thickly skinned and way too salty and gloopy.There was crispy duck and pancakes .. but the duck was like crispy bacon and there was next to none left ... we waited but they didnât refill it.We wanted to like it, but just couldnât. The table service from the server was excellent, but the food quality was just so bad we paid the bill (not cheap!!) and left.Sorry to see the place like this. Did it change hands?

Having driven past a number of times, we decided to give it a go. When we asked for a table for 2 the waitress had no idea what to do. Since there was nobody else seated what was the problem?The food was OK, the service not bad but overall a poor experience. The tables are in two rows with the staff constantly and repeatedly walking back and forward between what appeared to be two kitchens. It felt like a Takeaway with a few tables added. My biggest concern was that as we got acclimatized to the place, we realised just how dirty it was. I don't think I have eaten anywhere quite as filthy, even in China. The cutlery was greasy, the curtains would have stood up on their own and the carpet so grubby that if you stood still, you stuck to it!A pity, because I think this place has some potential. A deep clean, tidy up and redecorate would work wonders.

Wow.. I had the vanilla ice cream with my waffle.. Best ice cream i have ever tasted. Caramel sauce and fruit. For a family it can be expensive. Definately enough to share. Staff very polite. Area very clean and well presented.

I used to get a takeaway from the orient about once a week, I always get salt and pepper tofu and it used to be absolutely amazing, the curry sauce is perfect and it has remained the best curry sauce in livingston by far, the chips are good for Chinese chips too!! Unfortunately the tofu is very thin now and the texture isnât as nice itâs also quite dry, on top of this they now have a habit of getting the order wrong so All round okay but used to be much better.

It was only recently that I realised that different friends in Livingston were actually using the same Chinese restaurant for a Take Away.The crispy aromatic duck is truly excellent but the different fried rice meals on their extensive, reasonably priced menu were tasty too.The deliveries were always prompt and,more importantly,accurate!

I read all the negative and bad comments about Sapphire.. But cmon chaps what exactly are you expecting from a very small and extremely busy local Chinese restaurant and takeaway?Its not supposed to be Chinese cuisine at the utmost ultimate quality. It us however very low cost and very good quality and value. The food is very very good. Recommend the Chinese curry, all the soups, chow mein and duck dishes.For a localised restaurant you can't fault it.Sure. As with all busy restaurants they don't and can't get it right all the time but they do provide excellent quality food at a reasonable price.We fully recommend Sapphire.John and Linzi Sutherland

A friend recommended Dragon Hing to us as we were beginning to become disappointed with our regular Chinese takeaway. We were not disappointed with Dragon Hing, the food is lovely, staff are friendly and happy to recommend dishes if you are unsure what you want to try. We have only ordered three times from here over the last month or so but I think we have found our new regular Chinese takeaway and won't be going anywhere else. Loved the smoked shredded chicken which was recommended to us and the crispy shredded chilli chicken is the best we've had in a long time. Everything tastes so fresh and can't wait to try more dishes. Would highly recommend Dragon Hing.

The night we visited the restaurant was very quiet though the carry out side was busy . The service was very good and the food arrived promptly. The food was of a very good standard and we both enjoyed our meal .well worth a visit.!

Love this place, such good food with a family atmosphere, everyone is welcome.Wish all buffet places had this idea, so you pay for you food and off you go, even if it's not on the menu the chefs are cross Chinese that Hong Kong classics to new adventures are on the wok.This is my Chinese and I traveled 10 year in Asia, it's the best

Went here with my son. It was terrible. Avoid at all costs. After our visit here we were ill all night. We went cause my son wanted the unlimited ice cream but he didn't have any cause he didn't feel well after the food he had eaten.
