The first few times were horrible from new owners but picked there game up quickly the only down side is the fried rice either burnt or gluggy.And another thing they must have or be making plenty of money not to open on Mondays pretty sad

We have had the lunch special a few times and it is a very good deal. The food is very nice and a good size for $8.........but the service is terrible. This week I stood at counter for at least 5 minutes before I was served, and I was only person waiting. There were about 6 people that kept looking over but no response from them at all. Later I was told, this is because only ONE girl speaks English. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!If you are very patient, it is worth waiting for the lunch special. King prawns with curry sauce and fried rice is a great deal. Parking can be found at rear of The Great Northern Hotel, just past The Police station on the left, heading out of Kempsey. From the south, go across the bridge and drive straight ahead, don't follow highway to the right. It is at the back of the hotel about a klm or so from Kempsey.If you want good service don't go here, but food is good.
