Kapolei, named for the volcanic cone Pu'u o Kapolei (loosely meaning "hill of beloved Kapo"), is locally known as Oahu's "second city" after Honolulu. My husband and I stopped while checking out the new mall. The food was being cooked fresh, they were going samples of different dishes. The calorie counts are on the menus. We got 4 different things to try and they were all good. The only thing we didn't care for were the chicken egg rolls. The staff had a little trouble understanding English. We ended up with 2 sweet and sour sauces when we had asked for a duck sauce. Nice seating outside.

This eatery was recommended by a friend who has lived all over the world and knows food. There are multiple choices of rices and noodles and then about forty choices of entrees. This is sort of a cafeteria style place. You enter and take a number and wait for your number to be called. Then a server works with you going down the line helping you to choose what you want. You have two choices of size with one being enough for a hungry single and the other being more than enough for two hungry people. I will spare further option details, but we got one rice and four entrees. We got, roast pork, shrimp, beef with broccoli and sweet and sour pork. Everything was very good and fresh. We noted that the broccoli was still al dente and tasty. For $12.45 for more than enough for two, it's a great deal. This is a place to return to often.

Great food and reasonable too. Everything is fresh and staff is very polite and friendly. Healthy eating at its finest has arrived to Kapolei. A variety of broths to choose from to cook your selection of vegetables and meats.
Great prices, Quick service Chinese........like the choices and taste of the food. Nothing to dislike, other than they don't have any around where I live!

was invited to dinner here and honestly i'm not a big fan of dining at a chinese restaurant at places that is not known for chinese food. and this is a good example. Sure Hawaii has decent asian food... japanese - yes. but chinese? eh......now in kapolei i think this is the only chinese restaurant i've heard of. And because there's no competition i guess whatever they make is "good" i thought the food was okay. coming from a place where i'm surrounded by good chinese food, this place is actually considered meh. But i suppose if you have no choice, then sure, go dine at Kapolei Chinese Restaurant. i would not recommend anyone driving out to kapolei to eat at this restaurant -- totally not worth it. some of the dishes i had here, i felt like i can make it better at home. overall, i guess you dine here if you're really craving for chinese food while on vacation. otherwise.. please go find better hawaiian / japanese food to eat. the restaurant is not very clean as well. the table cloth was so dirty it scared me. and my daughter was playing with the cloth! ahhhhh i was screaming inside!
