I love The Canton Restaurant. I have been coming here for a long time. The food comes out really quickly and is always piping hot and delicious. Sitting by a heater always makes for a warm visit, and whatever dish I choose it is always tasty. If you haven't been to this reataurant and you love Chinese food and are in a hurry for dinner, you should try it!

Food was really good but the venue is not that nice. May be take aways next time may be a better option.

Pretty standard menu. Food good. Prices are good. I didn't phone my order, but wait time was only about 15 mins which I thought was pretty reasonable. Provided an alternative to room service when staying at the Ascot Park Hotel and not feeling like eating in the restaurant.

The bluff oysters, spring rolls, crispy pork and sizzling steak dishes were all superb, we loved them, The service was excellent. All round a wonderful restaurant experience. We will be returning to this restaurant next time we are in Invercargill in two months time.

My wife and I, together with our son, celebrated our wedding anniversary here last night. Food was good, price was reasonable, waiting time was short, waitress was nice and friendly. We did note though that other patrons seemed to be there purely for a drinking session. We enjoyed our food very much, and would go back again.
