Seems to be dropping standards since the previous owners left ... used to be consistently the best chippy around but has the new owners are letting standards drop fast .... always used to be busy but went here yesterday at 6:30pm and only 2 people waiting for food... chips were old and reheated with some still undercooked , fish was all soggy batter and inedible but the curry sauce was quite nice . Both our fish and chip meals went in the bin hardly touched !Sad to see this chippy has lost its way but Iâll give it 6 months and try again
Get sweet and sour chicken or pork, absolutely amazing. Good wonton soup and decent steamed siu mai. We get takeaways from here on regular basis and never been dossapointed! They even treat us sometimes to a free desserts or a bag of prawn crackers!

I confess to have never used this Takeaway before but decided to give it a try....what a mistake. By far the worst Chinese food we have ever eaten.I should have realised it wasn't up, to much because, on reflection, I have never seen anyone in the shop as I pass..They will have to do something to bring their standards up to the local Takeaway competition.

This was quite hard to find as the outside is very low key compared with the newer and more stylish Chinese restaurants on Merseyside,This place was recommended to me for the food which was better than expected. It was also reasonably priced. On the downside the place is quite small and looks what it is,an old high street shop and a throwback to the 60's or 70's If you are in the right mood, this may be a plus. The lighting is gloomy and although some of the fixtures are of good quality, its still needs a style make-over.I couldn't understand why they have a bar area that occupies a third of the small restaurant space. I would go back for the food but not for a special night out.

About ten of us from Spex4less had an early evening meal. The food was awesome, without exception. And the staff were so attentive and welcoming. I can definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again soon. Thanks to all the staff there for helping make it a great experience.

The most amazing chip shop ever. Consistently good, Iâve been going here for over 30 years. The best home made spring rolls Iâve ever tasted. Fantastic chicken fried rice. Just everything they do is wonderful. Best gravy on the Wirral. Canât fault it. I am at a loss when they close every year for Chinese New Year for a few weeks!

Couldn't face the Holiday Inn room service, so walked round the corner and took a punt on a takeaway. Turned out pretty good actually - ordered Salt & Pepper ribs that were wonderful and a large portion of Singapore Fried Rice which only lacked a few veg, otherwise it would have been perfect.A bottle of Diet coke and a spoon borrowed from the breakfast bar in the hotel and Bob's your Uncle!

Excellent food. We all enjoyed our meals and crispy duck was very nice and highly recommended. The Kung Po sauce with chicken - lots if chicken - nicely hot and tasty. Good price too. Four people, two courses and soft drink £55. Two things to be aware of. It is a small place and does look more like a cafe this took us by surprise but we were very glad to have eaten there. Secondly, it is a bring your own alcohol place. Nevermind, we will no next time. The food is so good there will be a 'next time' even if it is to get a take away. Don't be put off by the appearance - give it a try and you won't be disappointed.
