I have visited several times and enjoyed the food on each occasion however my partner finds the menu limited. It is a small venue and kitchen so i presume that does limit opportunity for a larger choice. The service is first class. It is a popular place to meet and eat and I have noticed that diners tend to leave once they have eaten. Tables are quickly filled. Recommended.

To mirror what somebody else said, we spent nearly £30 and were extremely disappointed. The portion sizes were terrible (see my photos). The the ribs were small and all bone, paying close to five pounds you're basically paying one pound per rib which is bad. The "special" sweet and sour Hong Kong style didn't even fill half of the container it came in and the meat was tiny baby bite sized pieces. Again, see my photo's.I have to give credit where credit is due which is why I gave a very generous two stars. The delivery time was short, food was warm and my friends vermicelli was nice. The food in general tasted nice so I can't say that the food quality is bad, but quantity overall was shocking. I'd strongly recommend not spending a penny here, wish we'd had taken the reviews seriously.Very disappointing, as the title of this review says, please save your money

I am not a lover of Chinese food but I do love my family. So when they decided they needed something other than something and chips we found Chinese Lantern and turned up for their "Happy Hour" menu (two courses for £7 per head). Plenty of room for a family of six and although it was a limited menu there was plenty of "standard" chinese choice to suit all.Prompt and pleasant service but not rushed at all - no children's portions so plenty of picking at the 5 and 8 year olds left overs!Desserts came extra but who can deny a grand daughter their choice of ice cream?A couple of soft drinks each and a final bill about £70. Quite reasonable and good fun was had by all.
