First, I recognize that taste is subjective, unique to each person. Having said that, we were all disappointed with our last visit to Dragon Isle. The Char Shu was more gelatinous than pork, i.e. barbecued pork fat does not usually qualify as barbecued pork. The Pepper Beef was similarly more fat than beef. This cheapening of meat is not difficult to detect. When it quivers on the fork, it is fat. When it is stiffer or flops instead of jiggles, it is meat. We all observed that the meat was more fat than meat, pork and beef.Usually, we order more than enough to enjoy left-overs. At the conclusion of our meal, there were multiple plates with food left on them. That included the plates we were eating from and the plates served by the restaurant. No one wanted the left overs... not one person. That says it all. If you have low standards for Chinese food, you may not be disappointed. We, on the other hand, have eaten at many good Chinese restaurants, which do not include Dragon Isle.Out next trip for Chinese will be to a different restaurant.

The food is very good-- fresh ingredients, appropriately spicy, tender meats. Our favorites are Walnut Shrimp (a must-try), Singapore noodles, and Mongolian beef. Generous portions, particularly when served family style. Service was a quick as might be expected from well-concocted fresh ingredients. Be sure to get to know the owner.

Excellent Asian Japanese Blend I have never liked sushi before but last nights experience changed this forever. The sushi, the appetizers, the Thai inspired curry, all was delightful. Alcoholic drinks are being served too and the atmosphere is outstanding. Prizes are fair and service excellent. I'll go again.

We were concerned that express might not mean fresh, but took a chance and were very happy with our dinner. The spring rolls were good and the vegetarian Szechuan was great, just the right amount of flavor and spice. The service was quick, upbeat and friendly and the value was excellent.

They are reasonably quick if you are in a hurry. Our office does take out here about 6-8 times a year. YC Fried Rice is a favorite. Always happy with flavor, good portion sizes.
