If you are looking for more authentically mainland Chinese food, this is not your destination. If you want American-taste Chinese, this is excellent. All the classics and a few novelties (Mandarin Pecan chicken), the portions are generous, well-prepared, and tasty. 11 out of 12 Jews recommend this place to other Jews.

Took takeout of edamame lettuce wraps and spicy shrimp. All was very good. For 20 bucks you can't beet it. Still had leftovers for another meal. Three meals for $20.00!

Love going to New China in Highland Village! Everything I've ordered has been great and very reasonably priced.Also, they have a wonderful selection of entrees on their $5 menu. General Tsaos Chicken is my favorite and I can't believe how much you get for the money!If you don't know exactly where the restaurant is, it can be hard to find, but well worth the extra effort!! Just look for the Goody Goody Liquor store and New China is right next door in the corner.FYI: they've been in the same location for at least dozen years, so you know it's the place to go!
