I wish I could give a zero! This is the first time reviews on tripAdvisor have ever let me down. Ordered online takeout, which was convenient. (That is the only positive). My husband had Peking duck which was dried out and flavorless. The fried pork wonton appeared to have been previously fried, then fried again when ordered. I ordered General Tso chicken, granted I ordered ânot spicyâ, but I didnât think that would mean tasteless. The coating was actually mushy and the chicken dry. I have had better Chinese food from a hospital cafeteria.
Having recently moved to Martinsburg, we've been hard pressed to find a good Chinese Restaurant. We stumbled upon China King and have eaten there several times.....we've never been disappointed. The kids love it there and the food is always fresh and hot.

We decided to give Peking a try for an early lunch. The woman who greeted us was very friendly and seated us promptly. We were given an ample amount of time to look over the menu before she returned. She answered all of our questions and made sure to clarify if we wanted the dish how most Chinese people prefer or if we preferred it Americanized. This was a key moment for me. You can tell when you are in a real authentic place when they are willing to ask you that up front. I have seen many places fail trying to pass Americanized Chinese food off as authentic. Peking is most definitely authentic but they are willing to accommodate those seeking a more American taste. I ordered a lunch combo of tea, hot and sour soup, egg roll, and chicken and broccoli with fried rice. The soup was delicious -- full of flavor and spice with big chunks of tofu and vegetables. The chicken and broccoli was also very good if a tad bland. I would order it again but perhaps ask for a bit more spice. Overall a nice lunch. We will definitely be back and maybe bring the whole family the next time.
The All You Can Eat, buffet style dining feature is hard to beat when you want a wide selection of Chinese specialties to choose from, but don't want to empty your wallet to taste all of those foods that you have ignored on the take-out menu in the past. We dropped by on a mid-week afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner and practically had the place to ourselves. I tried just about everything that has eluded me in the past when she says, "We're ordering Chinese tonight, what do you want?" and I can only think of a few, and even with a menu half of the options are a mystery. They label each of the freshly-made items so you can ID them later when you hit one that you really liked, and there are easily 30 trays to browse for each plate refill, including a few sweets for desert. With drinks our total was under $17 for two adults. You can easily spend that on the same old fast food. That allowed us to be generous with our tip for the energetic girl who kept our drinks full and table cleared.
Decided to check this place out after reading reviews. I ordered Shrimp with Black Bean sauce. Different from what I usually find since it had more vegetables but good. I also ordered house fried rice and once again, different but good. My wife ordered kung Pow chicken and Fried dumplings. But if you want an experience try the Bubble Tea! Never had anything quite like it!`

We went on a Wednesday night around 8pm and the buffet was looking a little depleted. There were only 3 tables of guests in the restaurant. The food was average buffet food. The owner/manager did refill some of the selections with fresh food while we were there. Someone had told me that their sushi was some of the best in the city, made there on-site. By the time we got there the sushi chef was gone and there were only a few pieces left. We will try eating there again sometime when it is more prime dinner hour. The service was attentive. At $7.99 it was definitely worth it.

Small restaurant with great food, including sushi made to order. We regularly eat there or pick up to go.
Where to eat Pizza food in Hedgesville: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I have eaten at this restaurant at least a dozen times and enjoyed every single meal there. My personal favorite is the won ton soup, because of the wonderful taste, and it is always piping hot. Their fried rice and boneless wings are excellent too.

I suppose some people would find this a good restaurant, but for someone with a gluten intolerance, it was difficult to find anything I could eat. Wait staff had no idea what gluten-free soy sauce was or even what gluten was. What I did find was just so so. Not impressed.

This was our favorite Chinese restaurant when we lived nearby, but after moving to Martinsburg 12 years ago we tried others and drifted away. Today we came back to realize that the food has gotten better than it was on our last visit, and they are our renewed favorite again! The little girl that we watched grow up there has moved on, and mom is behind the counter again, but other than that the place is the same as it was when we started dropping by over 15 years ago. The generous portions are still a given, and the food is always cooked-to-order fresh.Better than that; The old recipes are back and the taste is better than we remember.
