We really enjoyed our Chicken Nanban over rice at this restaurant. They had a great drink menu, the air conditioning was perfect (hot day in Fukushima), and we really enjoyed the appetizer that was served as part of the table service fee. It was some type of eggplant spread that was served with Japanese cucumbers. They served a very nice selection of salads. We also enjoyed a cool sake drink. It was very satisfying after a very long day.

Since it has good reviews, I wanted to try this place, at the entrance it says it's open until 10pm (last order 8.30pm), I got there before 8.10pm and I was not let in, with no explanation nor particularly polite manners. This place does not deserve customers' money, regardless of how good it could be.

This is a recently opened branch of Gyouza No Terui Honten. As that name implies, they specialize in gyouza, a.k.a. gyoza or jiaozi, historically Chinese dumplings that are now found all over Asia. As the sign above the entrance indicates, the style is åç¤é¤å (enban-gyoza, dumplings-in-the-round or dumplings-in-a-disk). A full disk at Terui Fukushima would be 22 gyoza, so for myself I usually order a half circle, another small side, and a glass of beer, which adds up to around Â¥1,500. See my photos.
