I did a so-so review about Umami a while back after a disappointing take-out experience but a return visit for eat-in dining turned out to be very good. Our Edamame and Lettuce Wrap starters were excellent. Our daughter and her partner raved about the Tom Yum soup, Sashimi and Red Curry while my wife and i were more than pleased with our Wonton Soup, Pineapple & Shrimp Fried Rice and Crispy Sesame Chicken. Atmosphere is pleasant and service was attentive. All in all, a good experience. Our bill for a group of 4 was $87 for a lot of food, a pretty good value. Will return!
Terrific local hideaway that's BIG on customer service and seriously delicious food, located in the Marchwood Shopping Center strip mall. Here's the thing, it's truly meant to be a 'take out' place but they do have a couple of small tables. It is family owned and the same people are ALWAYS there and service is spot on, all the time. They do a great job from taking your order by phone or in person to delivering to you the delicious finished meal you ordered...and by the way they also deliver. The portions are large and prices are very reasonable. The menu is large and they will accommodate your requests if you need to add or change anything. The lunch and dinner menu's are outstanding, everything is prepared and cooked fresh and is perfectly seasoned. They are fast and I have to say this again, the portions are huge. You won't be disappointed.
The portions are large, the food is delicious, the servers just need to pay attention to the details like the chef. From the appetizers to desert everything is exquisite. You'll have enough left over for several meals and the citrus tea is Wow. The only disappointment was having to ask the server several times for another glass and when I asked for a glass of water he gave it to someone else at the table. We will go back

We are still "new" to the area and occasionally find a new place to try. We were not disappointed, however, there are better places in the area. It's nearby so I'm confident we will go back. If for no other reason, we find it convenient. The service is very good therefore, I suggest you give it a try.

The shrimp egg foo young very nicely done and the General Tso chicken was great as well. The service was friendly and quick and setting quite and quiet. The prices were inexpensive . A great place for a good quick meal.

The food is very tasty here. I wish the quality of chicken was higher especially with how much they charge. Many time I have found pieces of bone and severe gristle in chicken dishes. Order lamb or beef and avoid the chciken.

I would give them 3 1/2 if you could, as they are pretty consistent and the food is usually good. The service is sometimes good, and other times, very slow / poor - but seems to be due to unstaffing of the wait staff.Been here about 20 times, and have had bad (not fresh) sushi more than once, but about 18/20 times it was good.
