it's just terrible to call this Chinese food! The restaurant is very clean. The staffs are polite. But I would take my American friends to somewhere else for Chinese foods.

I like most of the food here. Good price on lunch specials. The fried rice is not that great, however, so consider just white rice. Lots of options.

Very, very casual place, it is in a strip-mall in Eden Prairie. The cost was very good, just $25 for a lunch of large platters of food and appetizers. The owners/operators were extremely friendly, and the food was cooked right away, and served promptly. Our business was appreciated. The food is set up to be eaten at very informal tables or to take out/away. I will add that I have eaten at many restaurants offering this type of cuisine, many in Asia, or Europe, and not just in Minnesota, or in the USA, so that I do notice the ambiance, the quality and presentation, and the bill! There were no vegetables on the Sweet and Sour chicken dinner, but the meal was depicted just as served, and there are two varieties, so this one was offered with the sauce in a dipping bowl. The breading was good, and the chicken was also good. The appetizers were not quite the same as some others, including upscale frozen foods such as Cream Cheese Won Tons and Spring Rolls--due to the size and the breading, and the presentation.

We have been following this restaurant's dim sum chef ever since he started at the previous restaurant. Great varieties and quality from someone from Hong Kong. Given the reasonable price, this is far better than 2 other local dim sum restaurants that have good quality but way overpriced.Hands down the best one in town.

If you're looking for a beautiful, elegant dining experience, this is not the restaurant for you. However, if you like freshly made Chinese food at really reasonable prices, you'll want to try the Asian Express. The dining room is really only a collection of folding tables and old chairs; I would recommend getting the food to go. The food is made when you order, so it is always piping hot. If you're staying in one of the nearby hotels for business, this is a great spot to grab some food to bring back to the room. There are large and small sizes of the entrees, so you can buy exactly how much food you want as well (no leftovers for that hotel room). Overall, the food is terrific, and the price and convenience make it a great spot for travelers.

Have visited this location for years and have never had a bad experience. Food is always fresh, hot, and many selections to choose from. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

We really like this place. It is usually busy with a line but fast servers accommodate well. Select your meal and they cook it up fast. Wide variety of everything from noodles, rice, meats, seafood. Veggies are still crisp. Plating is great. Place is clean. Locals know where to go!

My son lives in Eden Prairie and decided he wanted to take me to this great Chinese restaurant. There was no buffet here tonight, but only an overpriced menu selection. Service was friendly and not so fast. I ordered a tofu /veggie dish, which was heavy on the celery, light on flavor and disappointing. My son got deep fried chicken in a flavorful sauce, but the chicken was hard to find. There was a lot of breading and scant chicken pieces. I will not be going back here for a meeting with my son as it was not worth my time or money.

The Great Mandarin has been around for many years in EP. The food is consistent. My favorite is their lunch buffet. Always have a wide variety of dishes and they refill it often. Ordering off of the menu is an option, and have enjoyed many dinners out with friends and family.
