Dawson Creek is a city in northeastern British Columbia, Canada. The municipality of 24.37 square kilometres (9.41 sq mi) had a population of 11,583 in 2011. Dawson Creek derives its name from the creek of the same name that runs through the community. The creek was named after George Mercer Dawson by a member of his land survey team when they passed through the area in August 1879. Once a small farming community, Dawson Creek became a regional centre after the western terminus of the Northern Alberta Railways was extended there in 1932. The community grew rapidly in 1942 as the US Army used the rail terminus as a transshipment point during construction of the Alaska Highway. In the 1950s, the city was connected to the interior of British Columbia via a highway and railway through the Rocky Mountains. Since the 1960s, growth has slowed.

Went for lunch and had the buffet... Only one vegetable dish the rest was deep fried tasteless hard greasy horrible food. Pd 30 dollars for 2 people to be grossed out. Took several hours to get the bad taste out of my mouth! Donât eat here go hungry!

Last visit in February and it was dreadful. 12 in the party for lunch and no none ahead a good meal. In addition we had to wait a long time to receive it.

Absolutely do not eat at this restaurant, they have failed alot of health inspections and have been shut down many times, still being caught with alot of very gross problems with rodents, food handling and preperation and mixing of meats and veggies. They have been in trouble for having moldy things in the back of the fridge with "fresh" things and do not label dates and times when things were made. I know alot of people that have got food poisoning from this place. If you are looking for chinese food the only place in this town where the chinese food is hand made and perfectly prepared every time is the noodle hut.

Our family likes to stop here whenever we are in town. We like the smorg. The prices are good and the skewered shrimp is incredible. Also love the chicken, sweet and sour pork, prawns, egg rolls and more. They have a smorg dessert bar. You might be too full though. This place is casual but clean. A family run operation, they do their best to please. Ask if you need something. Some people really like them for take out but we've never tried that as we're too far out of town.

My family and I have been going to the Orion for years and we feel it is all round the best restaurant we have ever visited - this is why: you get seated immediately; the service is fast; the food is delicious and the portions are good; it's very clean; the prices are very reasonable; and, the service is friendly. It doesn't get any better!

I drive 3hours round trip to pick up the spring rolls to take home to the Mrs- the dipping sauce is awesome. For mains you can't go wrong with anything!!! Love this place
