Dined off the early evening menu: 2 courses for £7.95 which I thought was great value. Started with some complimentary prawn crackers, then had a generous serving of chicken and sweet corn soup followed by a flavoursome portion of shredded chicken in peking sauce. Two friendly girls were attentive throughout. Relaxing music added to the calming feel. Good place for a satisfying and cheap meal afterwork.

Ordered crispy aromatic duck, received a bag of sloppy duck fat. Never tasted anything as disgusting. Main meals were bland and most of it ended in the bin. Such a shame as Wan built up this business over the years serving exceptional food. New owners clearly are not making any effort. That's us done with this take away now. PS even the dog didn't want to eat the duck fat....

Takeaway only. Even though there was not many people waiting to be served the food took quite a while to come and to be honest it wasn't worth the wait, yes it was hot but the grease was running out of the cartons, it was that bad. We had 8 different meals and they all looked the same. Certainly won't be going back.

We have been using this takeaway for years and I must admit I've tried others however in my opinion the food here is consistently better, excellently prepared and packaged. The home delivery service is super quick and the phone ordering is really fast. I wouldn't bother with any of the other Chinese takeaways in Cramlington now.

Ordered a family meal as our local Cramlington Chinese is closed. We ordered a shrimp and mushroom curry which was more of a thin soup. The fried rice was mahogany due to over cooking and would have choked a small child, luckily the watery curry sauce added a lot of moisture - not flavour but saved a trip to A&E. The Singapore noodles were equally substandard and the rest was just edible. I was hoping for great things. I didnât get it. Oh well....still alive.

Went for buffet meal, no buffet in sight?Told to order from menu at set price of £17.50 each...scandalous!Can't wait until August 14th, as that's when Smithy Square takeaway is back open!Hi there, We think you must have misunderstood our buffet style that we offer. We do cooked-to-order ala carte menu. We cook the food from fresh when you order from the menu and you eat as much as you can. The buffet dishes are not laid out on warmers as most buffet restaurants do, so you will always have hot freshly cooked dishes. The menu is very popular, and well known by local residents.
