Reviews on Chinese food in Columbia, Maryland, United States. Columbia is a census-designated place in Howard County, Maryland, United States, and is one of the principal cities of the Baltimore metropolitan area. It is a planned community consisting of 10 self-contained villages. It began with the idea that a city could enhance its residents' quality of life. Creator and developer James W. Rouse saw the new community in terms of human values, rather than merely economics and engineering. Opened in 1967, Columbia was intended to not only eliminate the inconveniences of then-current subdivision design, but also eliminate racial, religious, and class segregation.

My wife and I took in a movie and enjoyed a lovely dinner afterwards. We had the stuffed lettuce wraps and pork dumplings to start, the Mongolian beef and filet mignon for the main entree. The device was very good and our server Eugenia was excellent. Definitely make a reservation We'll be back again.

My wife and I stopped in to the Asean Bistro on Christmas Day without reservations. A wonderful lady found us a table for two, and Boy, were we lucky. As the restaurant was beginning to fill up, we were given probably the grumpiest server they had. This hardly put a dent in our enjoyment as the food and drink he brought to our table, more than made up for his shortcomings as a server. We ordered a Tiki Puka Puka drink, an order of Shrimp Toast, one Pad Thai entree, and an Mignon Mustard entree. Total Bliss my friends!

Ate there for the first time in several years. While not spectacular, it is good neighborhood Chinese Food. It looks a little shopworn but the service is friendly and efficient. The food is good albeit not special. hot and Sour soup is very good. The General Tso shrimp was a bit sweet and the seasonal greens were pretty good. Decent value for the money.

We have heard about this restaurant for years, but didn't decide to go there until recently because they have GLUTEN FREE entrees (which my wife must have.. We have now been there for one dinner and one lunch. Both times we have had excellent food and service. The prices are very reasonable and the servings large. I am slowly working my way through the menu and enjoying the experience. I must say the black bean sauce is the absolute best I have ever had. If you want some good Chinese food in Howard County, MD, this is the place to go.
