Disgusting greasy rubbish.Burnt sesame prawn toast, that was so hard and almost black. Hot and spicy salt chilli prawns??? Not hot, not spicy and when did the prawn pass by. Certainly didn't stay. Oh, and these little delights are deep fried and 6 of them will leach enough oil to add to the fuel of your two-stroke Victa mower for the next year or two. Ko Po Steak, was very, very oily but tasted ok. Special fried rice......the special thing is, they have managed to remove all flavours of the contents. Very bland, gluggy fried rice.

You can find average restaurants like Nu-Deli anywhere. They're never inspiring and survive only because they provide alternatives in a sea of ambivalence. Nu-Deli has never been my favourite haunt. The decor is aging and the menu plain and uninspiring. Anyway to tonight's dinner. The evening started with a Bruschetta following an unduly lengthy wait to be served, however we were ushered to a better seat by the waitress as a reservation had fallen through. The two were not linked. Service at other tables was also noticeably slow. It's Tuesday evening so it's also a slow night for customers. I had Moroccan Chicken and she had Gnocchi Lamb. The lamb had to be deconstructed prior to eating, the presentation was done with such aplomb even Sir Les Paterson would have blushed! The chicken was on the tough side. I've added pictures of our meal. You can tell the Lamb, it's the one with chops swimming in a sea white liquid. A woeful exhibition of restauranting.
Where to eat Pub food in Colac: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We recently order take aways from the golden Lin restaurant by phone and when I arrived The staff are very friendly and my five dinner boxes were ready to go pricing is very reasonable at $10 a box once a fortnight we order take away from the shop is always very fresh and we haven't had a problem
In short, outstanding food delivered by a very playful and highly interactive hostess in the original Colac (old) post office building. This is one of my local restaurants. It's mainly a takeaway restaurant with only a few who actually dine in. Having said that, it does make for VERY personalised service from the hosts. Our shared food was excellent. Top notch in fact. The beverages list is extensive with the added extra of many older wines dating back into the 1990s and even earlier. It's well worth a visit.

We had 30min to eat, so this restaurant was fast. We ordered at the counter and picked off from the menu board above the cooking area and could watch the food get selected and cooked. We ordered the combination soup, (menu entry = Thin egg noodles, seafood and meat in tasty chicken soup). It was OK but not really very flavorful, pretty bland. It was hot which was nice on a cold July day. The place was little run down and could have been cleaner. Biggest problem was the poor ventilation meant that your clothes and hair smelled afterward. For a tourist without laundry facilities conveniently available this meant days of our coats smelling.
