Serving up a new dining experience, The New River Village wants to take you back to simpler times, when food was more than just food - awaken your senses and enjoy dining in idyllic surroundings.
Ordered Szechuan chicken and a third of the way through I noticed the dead beast with one wing! Also cross contamination is a worry as I had a bean sprout randomly In my meal, I have noticed before random bits of chicken in beef meals ect. I will never order again! Hygiene is clearly not there priority!
We eat here every time we go shopping in Clydebank. Recently the restaurant has upgraded because of the increased demand. For two it will cost less than £20 and you will get a decent feed. The food is cooked straight away and is always served hot. We have never had one single problem with it. The restaurant have started doing Udon noodles recently and I can't get enough of them. I had lunch on Friday for £7 including two bottles of water. They will do the normal chicken balls, curry and rice which is very popular as well as then normal chow mein etc. This place serves tasty food which is cheap. You don't get alcohol, no license. You do get your food served and you get all of the normal hustle and bustle of a Clydebank lunchtime. One warning, pick your time as I have seen the queue 15-20 long on a lunchtime and you can't book. This place gets busy as it also does take out as well. I you want a cheap tasty Chinese meal, for the price you can't match this even if you buy and cook it yourself.

I've visited The Beijing Banquet several times since it opened its doors It's always been incredibility busy and parking can become quite an issue, with people abandoning their cars without due care to other motorists nor pedestrians. The Venue is still spotless however, the quality of the food is slipping , the chicken satay on skewers was 'pink looking' I've bite into to and had to be avoided The Dim Sums were crispy instead of softly steamed and some of the chicken dishes were rock hard , as was the stodgy boiled rice To make matters worse my second pint of Stella tasted stale , I'd hope it wasn't made up of leftover slops however, I did cleanse my pallet using some iced water to ensure my taste buds where not affected by the bland tasting beef curry On a positive note by being vigilent, I managed to avoid eating too much of the poor quality food on offer, or so I thought In summary, all banquets have a period of high quality, good food served with pride and professionalism however, after a period, standards fall and profits take over I really thought The Beijing Banquet would stand the test of time, or at least slightly longer, however,. It would appear it's time to search for "The next great thing" I'll not be returning now, having spent the best part of 1am to 4am on the toilet .Such a shame
