I first found this place one snowy night when my sat back diverted past it due to the M6 being closed. I had a chicken and sweetcorn soup and a special house chow mein.Been eating Chines for 50 years, and the food was as good as many and better than most. So good that on at least 15 occasions since then, me and my wife have taken our chop sticks and bowls the 35 miles from our house to the take away, and then driven a few miles up the road and eaten the food on the car. Never had a bad meal, so I am wondering about the veracity of the recent reviews to the contrary. We will be returning shortly to test them out. Will make another review to show our feelings.

Gurkha Tingmo Palace is an Authentic different kind of Nepalese, Tibetan, Indian and Chinese restaurant. We specialise in preparing food using minimum of oil, no artificial colourings or preservatives. Born in a nice city of Hyderabad in India our Executi
I'm not usually a fan of restaurants which promise foods from a variety of countries instead of just concentrating on one region and getting it right. On this occasion though the novelty of Nepalese and Tibetan dishes joining the more familiar Indian and Chinese offerings was too interesting to ignore.Thank goodness we took the plunge - and thank goodness we decided to abandon our resolution not to bother with a starter. The Gurkhali mixed meat platter for two was an ideal introduction to what this restaurant had to offer and well worth the £15.95 asking price. For mains we experimented with the Sherpa Delight (lamb) and Hariyali Chicken - both excellent their very different ways. The former quite red but mild with a good coconut base, the latter hotter but wonderfully earthy. and both substantial servings.Even the plain nan was a cut above the usual - not too big and crisp in the right places!A long haul from either Tibet or Nepal our bottle of Italian Sereno Pinot Grigio Blush was the ideal complement to a perfect meal. Friendly service too.

Following a summer refurbishment Mr Chongs continues to have a good atmosphere; with tasteful decor. The service is cheerful and helpful with a very clear menu of both Chinese and Malay cuisine. All beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. One can enjoy a relaxed meal and feel very welcome. A meal at any time is a pleasure.Paul&Anne

We are a small family restaurant and takeaway that has been serving traditional Cantonese cuisine to the people of Buxton since 1994 and are located in the town centre. We are a short 5 minute walk from Buxton Opera House and Pavilion Gardens. As well as
Had two lovely meals at this quiet but excellent restaurant that had been recommended by my guest house owners. It has a huge vegetarian menu and I enjoyed three great main dishes over two nights. The bean curd with honey was particularly good as was the pineapple rice.
