Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in Carrigaline. Carrigaline (Irish: Carraig Uí Leighin, meaning "rock of Ó Leighin") is a commuter town and civil parish in County Cork, Ireland. It is about 14 km south of Cork city which can be reached by car in 25 minutes (along the R611, which passes through the town, and then the N28 Ringaskiddy–Cork road). Carrigaline has grown rapidly in recent years, from a village of a few hundred people into a thriving town, although many locals still refer to it as "the village". The town is one of the key gateways to West Cork, especially for those who arrive by ferry from France.

Go there a good few times a year as a treat. It is pricey but its proper Chinese food not the stodge you get at your local take away.Cocktails, set menus and a la cart menus are wonderful. Service is impeccable and the staff are knowledgable and friendly

Frozen wok fried chicken in plate of coconut milk thickened with corn flour that looked like custard. The chicken was tasteless and like rubber.the hole dish was flavorless and i left most of it behind.. my partner had firey chicken... it was also bland and very uninteresting.. This is definitely not Asian food.. the staff were not friendly or helpful .. I will not be back here again..

Was previously called Starvast but has undergone renovations and a name change recently
Have already been back for a second visit.Loved the open work screens used to provide privacy between tables.Staff were so friendly & welcoming, happy to answer any questions regarding the menu.Food was delicious. Sauces served to enhance the dish and not overwhelm. Portions large enough to feel full but not stuffed.Looking forward to my next visit to try another option.

We arrived at 9.00pm on a thursday evening, the restaurant was empty save for a young girl playing on her computer. the waitress was dressed in a big fleece, we had just left a warm car so didn't notice how cold it was at first. We had a starter squid and garlic mushrooms which were average. The hot and sour soups were a brown gloopy broth full of slivers of raw carrot and onion. The main course of sweet and sour consisted of thunb nail size pieces of chicken with the same slivers of raw carrot and onion. The duck was similarly accompanied. This appalling fare came to â¬62.90.Needless to say we will not be returning!
