Broadstairs is a coastal town on the Isle of Thanet in the Thanet district of east Kent, England, about 80 miles (130 km) east of London. It is part of the civil parish of Broadstairs and St Peter's, which includes St Peter's, and had a population in 2011 of about 25,000. Situated between Margate and Ramsgate, Broadstairs is one of Thanet's seaside resorts, known as the "jewel in Thanet's crown". The town's crest's Latin motto is Stella Maris ("Star of the Sea"). The name derives from a former flight of steps in the chalk cliff, which led from the sands up to the 11th-century shrine of St Mary on the cliff's summit.

So very glad to have Winon virtually on our doorstep. Always friendly. Always fast service. Very reasonable prices. On the surface the menu is pretty standard for a high street Chinese take-out but ask about special dietary needs and youâll be surprised what Winon can accommodate. We ask before ordering for no MSG - our request has always been granted. As a vegetarian I especially enjoy the Sweet & Sour Bean Curd but I ask for extra chilli and extra cashew - just £5 - great value and not a problem. Weâre regulars now that we know we can reliably trust Winon.

About 27 years ago, I had my 1st taste of Chinese food from May King. All I can say is that it is still an excellent family run take away, probably the best one in Broadstairs. The staff there are knowledgeable / friendly and know regulars by name. They are aware of food intolerance, so can advise and adjust / recommend if requested. Food is always good - and the portions are well filled. There is limited parking in the area, we normally park over the railway bridge and walk for 2 mins.My ONLY comment is that they need to put a "no dogs, except assistance dogs" sign / policy in as per the equality act. The waiting area is cosy, a few seats at each side, but the space is small and if you are allergic asthmatic like me, there is not enough space / air, if another other customer brings in there mongrel, a tight chest and itchy eyes soon follows unless you wait outside.

An enjoyable meal. The aromatic duck was delicious with plenty of pancakes and duck. A reasonable menu. Although there are plenty of Chinese take away s around there are not too many Chinese restaurants. This is well worth a visit. Good service
