An ancient town and part of the local-government district of Rother, Bexhill is home to a number of archaeological sites, a Manor House in the Old Town, an abundance of Edwardian and Victorian architecture, and the famous De La Warr Pavilion: today a centre for contemporary art – which has featured the work of Andy Warhol, Cerith Wyn Evans and Richard Wilson amongst others – and an auditorium, where Bob Marley had his first UK appearance and has since seen performances by Elvis Costello, Goldfrapp, Ray Davies, Years and Years, Pati Smith and Lauri Anderson.

This is without doubt the best Chinese takeaway in town. We live 5 miles out of Bexhill and the food always arrives at the time quoted an is always delicious and piping hot. First class food & first class service

Tried other Chinese takeaways in town but China garden is the best we've had by far. Been using it for many yrs now and never had a bad meal and even my very fussy children love it. House special curry and house rice is a must

We have been using this Takeaway for over 15 years, they cook every fresh, they make everything from scratch. When busy you may have to wait for your order but it is worth the wait. We have used others in the area for the home delivery but still have along way to go to get to this standard.

Met with my brother here last night for dinner, yes, the décor may be dated, but it fondly reminded me of when I was a child being treated to a chinese meal out with parents, so it didn't bother me at all. It's spotlessly clean too. The food was hot, with very generous portions, so we were glad we didn't over order. Really flavoursome food, especially the (very) crispy spring rolls and chicken curry. I'd go as far to say it's the best Chinese restaurant in Bexhill, and would most definitely recommend others to try it. Nice to know they offer takeaway as well, as I will now choose this over the one in Western Road!

Used to love this place, great food but now it has got far too expensive, won't be using unless it is a real treatHello Ruth and Ruby.Thank you for taking the time to write this review I'm glad you enjoy our food.However I do have to disagree with you when you say we are "too expensive."Firstly we haven't put our prices up for nearly a year now and the prices stated on our current menu is the price you get charged. Secondly when our prices do go up, it usually does mean all our expenditure i.e. bills, supplies etc costs have also risen so we do have to be able to pay for those to be able to continue to supply you with great quality homemade dishes. Lastly we only raise our prices by 10p-30p a dish at the most so we don't go greedy with our price increase just enough to pay our costs and keep a roof over our heads.As you can appreciate we have to make a living aswell to feed our family and pay our bills just like everyone else. We hope to hear from you again soon.Regards

Lunchtime visit with a group of friends.Food portions were small. Prices very high given quality and portion size.Welcoming was unfriendly..... basically telling us we only had a hour for lunch as they close at 2 and we had only just sat down!!Would we return.....NO.

We visited this restaurant whilst in Bexhill and was very pleasantly surprised as from the outside it is very plain. However once inside the decor is lovely and the food totally delicious. I had the duck and pancakes and it was wonderful. We also had prawns and cashews and lemon chicken - all superb. The lemon chicken is excellent. Probably the star of the show was the dim sum that we had to wait 15 minutes for but it is certainly worth the wait. We will be returning!!!
