We arrived in Kholn late by plane, went to the hotel and the only way to eat was at the China Palace, we arrived that in 40 minutes they would close, we had to chose fast from the menu, the first impression wasn't the best, but after we ordered, the waitress was nice, we eat well, good beer, at the end thy offered us a sweet drink

Situated next to Bensberg´s famous 5-star Schlosshotel and the town hall, the "Hongkong" offers views of Cologne Cathedral and the Siebengebirge (seven hills) east of Bonn, so when you phone to book a table, ask for a table with a view. It is one of the the best Chinese restaurants in the region of Cologne, and definitely worth a visit; the food and service are very good. On very warm days, the patio in front of the restaurant is the place to be.

The Pagode is a good place for a meal in the town of Odenthal. They have a surprisingly large selection for their buffet lunch or dinner. There are fish, seafood and meat dishes and a variety of vegetable dishes to choose from. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. They have sushi as well in the evenings. There is always a large selection of desserts to follow which consists of ice cream, cakes, lychees, etc. I am not fond of Chinese buffets as a rule but certainly enjoy this one. The staff are polite and friendly and they seem to have a good following from people who live in the area. The Pagode is a good Chinese buffet with abundance and a great selection to choose from so you will most certainly find something that you will like while visiting a quaint village in the Rhineland!
