Most of the city is located in northeast Stark County while a small portion is in adjacent Mahoning County. The population was 22,322 as of the 2010 census. Alliance was established in 1854 by combining three smaller communities. The city was a manufacturing and railroad hub for much of the 20th century and is also associated with the state flower of Ohio, the scarlet carnation, and is known as "The Carnation City". The University of Mount Union, a private liberal arts college established in 1846, is located in Alliance.

This restaurant is not consistent one time you there it is good and then it nothing by grease. I think they need to pay attention to the cook. I have had good food, it been some time ago, and I have had bad. Greasy and over cooked! Maybe you might ask to look at the buffet before you stay!!

We have tried several Chinese restaurants between Alliance and Massillon. None are good. This place serves constantly fresh servings. It's Buffet only. That made me nervous but it is excellent! All the meat is tender and tasty! The soups are perfect. The veggies are not over cooked. And amazingly, the price is CHEAP! It's under $10 a person and could really charge more just for the quality. The waitresses are friendly and they keep everything clean! They wipe down every table AND chair after it is cleared. We have been there twice so far and will return probably once a week now. It's right on State St (Rt 62) so easy to get to. Right next to Marc's.

I was surprised at how tasty lunch is at the China Express. This was my second visit. They have many of the dishes you would expect in a Chinese restaurant, with typical lunch specials. The appetizer special is a good selection. Although the restaurant is a bit plain, almost like a diner, the Chinese people who work there are very nice and enhance the experience. China Express is located in the back of the mall across from the movie theaters and near South Beach.
