Mattarello 22What can I say? Just one word: fantastic! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, the inner space, outside is not as nice as inside, but nevertheless, we have possibilities to sit in a terrace, with couple of tries. The services was very helpful, kind and friendly, but what makes full house in a restaurant is more or less always the kitchen. We tried different pizzas, all of them was very high quality, also the desert. I warmly recommend to visit this place, in case you like pizza :-)Thanks for this wonderful review. We are waiting for you in our pizzeria!Francesco Belli

After all the good reviews, we were disappointed. Ordered the fish appetizer platter, which included a variety of cold and hot fish prepared in various wats. The cold fish seemed and tasted as if it had been cooked the day before, quite dry and dull. My husband had the pecorino on bread, which was OK but expensive for what you get (ab. 8 euros). We ordered the linguini with shrimps, portion though was quite small and shrimps not so many. We also ordered the Tuscan-style mussels, which according to the host who took our order are cooked in tomato sauce. It turns out they are stuffed with a fish-meat mix which he failed to mention, although I had asked what tuscan-style means. Luckily, my husband offered to exchange dishes as he does eat red meat. I have to mention the nice waitress who did offer to exchange my dish though. For the price of 56 euros, I would expect better - wouldn't go there again.
The restaurant la fattoria is a spot with a friendly atmosphere, where you can breath air of conviviality and wellness. This is the philosophy transmitted by the owner, who try to satisfy their guests giving them the best possible quality. The restaurant

Parking is on the street, so that could be a problem. Also, as others have reported, occasionally the restaurant is overcrowded, especially on weekends. Overcoming those obstacles...The seafood is very good. Nice size portions. If you see "seafood soup" on the menu, it isn't what you think. It typically is a bowl chock full of various seafood in a slight broth. Usually a "heathy size" portion. Noticed more than a few tables ordering Fries? We didn't try the fried but would probably do next time to see what the attraction was. Of course, all Italian restaurants have a pasta on the menu too. Be careful not to over-order with a large size appetizer and a large size entrée.FYI, there are two other seafood restaurants nearby facing the beach front. Banchisa and Ristorante Pizzeria Luna banana (which has a parking lot!).Late submission due to extended overseas travel April-July

Cozy location almost on the cliff with the amassing sea view for the lucky ones who made reservation weeks in advance during the high season. Quality seafood and fish menu. All is great.

This was truly terrible. It is such a great location and we were so disappointed as unfortunately that is all it is. The female waitress was so rude in a non verbal way. She threw our food at us and one main came 20 mins after the rest!! The dirty cutlery had dried food on it and we just got a rude stare and no apology when we asked for another set. There was only one other table there when we arrived so they don't even have the excuse of being busy!! The male waiter was more pleasant. The food was ok tho nothing to rave about but then again the service made everything taste sour. My mussels were stone cold. We had to ask for some bread more than once. We escaped as quickly as we could not really wanting to pay but not having a material reason not to. Maybe they had their poorest staff all in on 11 July 2017 evening? Or maybe they don't like Scottish tourists. Who knows. Sorry but Walk on by it's not worth a visit. Really really poor experience and totally spoilt our evening.

Lovely place overlooking the old little Marino of Castiglioncello. Very romantic ambience. Very good and various menu but what counts more is the quality of the food and the generous helpings. Service is excellent. Prices are moderate. Only one obstacle: book in time because it's always fully booked.

Ate here on our first night in tuscany last Saturday. Thought at first thst we would not get in as not booked but waiter ran round to sort table for us. Helpful over translation of menus and food very good. Only draw back was over an hour between courses but have not reduced stars because that's how the Italians eat. We were knackered.
