Very friendly, I think we stood out a bit as this is a 'locals' restaurant but once inside we got excellent service and were happy that the staff (family) knew we ere not local as they advised and were happy to 'show and tell' a real gem of a restaurant....

Deutsches Weintor in Schweigen-Rechtenbach offers modern regional cuisine, warm colours and beautiful views. On the menu is a selection of creative cuisine based on typical dishes from the Rhine-Neckar region and the Palatinate, as well as a suitable sele
Went there with family. The restaurant is decorated with style, and the service was good. The only "problem" was that the staff didn't want to give us a reservation for 20h, because they considered that to be too late- so 19:30 it was, oh well...The menu contains traditional and modern German cuisine- it isn't very long, but there was enough diversity to suit everyone's taste. The food itself was excellent, especially considering its relatively low price. The only drawback were the wines: they didn't live up to the standards of the dishes. The wines are reasonable priced, but you get what you pay for and that isn't much.So for me the food would be 4/5, but the wines somewhere between 2/5 and 3/5. I'm giving this place a 4/5 anyway, because the overall experience was more than satisfying and I would definitely go there again.

Excellent food and service. View was beautiful. I would highly recommend eating there if you are in the region. Wine selection was also excellent.

I stopped on my way through to Alsace and wished Iâd continued on to eat in France. The goulash soup was tasty, but extremely filling as it had so much meat and other items in it that it was more like chili than any goulash soup Iâve had before. In Germany, white asparagus with boiled potatoes and hollandaise is nearly a regional tradition. There are âSpargel-Karteâ in many restaurants listing the seasonal dishes featuring this well-loved specialty food. So, you usually can get excellent white asparagus dishes almost anywhere that offers them. This was literally the most over-cooked asparagus I have even been served â then it wasnât drained properly so the hollandaise was immediately diluted by the standing cooking water. What a disappointment for my last chance to eat Spargel this Spargelzeit.

Das gleichnamige Hotel haben Sie auf Ihrer Liste!!!
Great little hotel and restaurant. Friendly service - menu in French, English, and German. Staff found someone to help in English when they realized some of our party did not speak German or French. Food was lovely and very nicely presented.
