The Kaiserbahnhof in Brühl (Rhineland), originally built as a status symbol of the powerful railway companies in the bygone era of lignite production, is now considered one of the most beautiful railway station building in Germany.Today, the Kaiserbahnhof
We visited this restaurant several times before and we decided to have brunch there on Easter Monday. I reserved a table via phone a week previous to our visit. The staff member answering the phone was not sure when the âbrunchâ starts or if they even had it; even though it was advertised on their own website. After holding for several minutes she took our reservation and told us the brunch starts at 10:00 oâclock. We arrived at the restaurant on time. Our reservation was lost. But they had a table for us. At the table the waitress explained the brunch to us: âThe brunch here consist of two buffets. The breakfast buffet, which is until 12:00 oâclock and the lunch buffet, which will start at 12:00 oâclock.â This was not what we expected. We expected brunch. Not a breakfast and a lunch. Guest who arrived after us were also confused. Nobody here understood the way they understood the word "brunch". We also now understood the confusion of the employee taking our reservation. The breakfast buffet itself was below average. The refilling of the buffet was slow. A lot of offerings were constantly unavailable. The buffet was only refilled in very small portions. It gave us the feeling that they did not have enough food to serve or they want to maximise profit at all cost. There were menus on the table explaining the buffets offerings, but they did not have the correct pricing. As we got the bill it was explained to us that the Easter breakfast came with an Easter âsurchargeâ of 3 Euros per person. The menu quoted the price without surcharge. If I combine all the past experiences with what happened at the brunch I come to the following conclusion: This restaurant is for you if you are looking for a nice location with good food (except the buffet breakfast). You do not mind sub standard service staff, and that not everything on the menu is available.

It is not expected to be found such a nice small restaurant in a hidden alley of Bonn!!! A really nice surprise...Sea food but also meat is served at the place I was with a big group and everything seemed week cooked and all my group enjoy it.The fillet looked amazing as also the entrants of lentils soup... I had the "surprise menu" that had a kalamari first plate and a chicken fillet a SA second ... very well cooked.. Everything nice in a nice atmosphere... in respect to wine we had a German Pinot grizio (!!!!) tasting as bizzar as it sounds!! I am not aware of the price yet I heard it's expensive... I can only recommend it as a nice surprise to the otherwise mediocre restaurants of Bonn ...

The restaurant is located in an old building in the centre of one of the villages that forms Bornheim. The bosses, a young couple, are nice and the dishes are yummy. I found a little bit expensive though. I had âRheinischer Sauerbratenâ which was very delicious. My friend had a steak which was delicious too.

Probably the best business lunch I have had in 2015. Very friendly service combined with delicious food in a pleasant setting, not a single thing I would want to change. Waiter even recommend to move to a separate room for our discussions and provided the kind of professional service that is hard to find: attentive but unintrusive. Bill came up to 80 ⬠for the three of us, including starter and main course, water and coffee plus dessert for one. Highly recommend the place!!

The Altes Fachwerkhaus restaurant in the Hotel Falderhof is in the oldest preserved part of the courtyard complex, which comprises the historic listed estate house south of the city of Cologne in the district of Sürth. To complement the variety of dishes
I stayed at the Falderhof. After a long day of travel and meetings, a simple and quick meal was what I was looking for. The lady who made my reservation (I was visiting a local company) said, when asked for a restaurant recommendation "the hotel restaurant is very good but expensive". I agree on the very good, I'd even suggest excellent; price was not high (total bill 50 euro, starter, main course & dessert, two glasses of wine) in my opinion. The menu is only in German, I speak zero German. The waitress was helpful when I asked questions, I ended up with a soup and main dish that both were delicious. Both wines (a German white & red) were good; the dessert a surprise and good too.Service was prompt and correct, I would return.

The Brühler Hof offers tasty traditional German cuisine at reasonable prices. Seasonal dishes usually complement the establishment's standard menu which already features a good variety. During the summer the restaurant features generous outdoor seating in Brühl's downtown pedestrian zone. During the Karneval weekend in February the restaurant turns into a party zone with a DJ and a fun atmosphere.

I actually wanted to give this place a try since ages for now... Was schocked by the ambiance.. Sorry, we dont say 'old school' for a vintage place or something... Or a venue with ages old furnitures. But again, I do believe they def. need some lifting job over here as the food was awesome. We were at the Gourmet Restaurant by the way, as Yelp doenst consider to devide the Gourmet to the bistro (Piccolo) ones.Service was outstanding.

Schade,
