Just a few dishes, mixed from local specialities - as well fresh - served in gourmet class quality with excellent wine recommendations. Never saw service thankful like this for every order. Tried the Gemsfilet, Eschforelle and local cheese. Just excellent in combination of the wines and the ambience.

The restaurant is attractive inside, with amazing furniture (including a table that seats 12, with a stone oval in the centre and a wooden edge decorated with wooden insets) and decorations. The smells from the kitchen add to the welcome atmosphere. There is a Duplo table in the next room, as well as another box of Duplo in the covered outdoor dining area. The menu also caters for children, with several standard options (eg, spaghetti, nuggets, small schnitzel). There is a range of schnitzels available, all prepared freshly in their kitchen (we heard the meat being tenderised from our table), including schnitzel "Balcun At" which I highly recommend - pork schnitzel filled with smoked ham, onion, cheese and a touch of mustard. The price was also good! Will definitely be going back.

A week's trip to Italy and I would normally be after traditional Italian cuisine and wine every night. However, this was in the German speaking Südtirol region very close to the Swiss and Austrian border. I researched the place in advance from a website devoted to beer and this place did well. I turned up about 19:30 and it wasn't too busy. A huge selection of beers served in porcelain tankards was a good plus. The menu was, unsurprising, very dominated by hearty meat dishes. However with the help of the waiter, we selected a vegetarian soup (cream of polenta soup) and a roasted goat's cheese dish which was either a starter or double sized portion as a main. That and a very tasty appetiser and some lovely smoky tasting rye and crisp breads made this a really enjoyable meal. With two beers and the food, the bill came to just â¬27 making it one of the best meals in a long while.

Hotel restaurant, non staying guests welcome. We had a fresh Dear Carpaccio for a starter, Wiener Schnitzel and grilled Pike with Lemon Risotto. For desert Plum Sorbet with a creamy cake. The portions where big and service was good. Would go there again.
