Very pleasant restaurant with outdoor seating and an excellent view. A romantic setting ( I am having to imagine this because I have only been with work colleagues) overlooking the lake and town below. Food very good and excellent ice cream. Portions not too big so you can order 3 courses without feeling over faced or guilty. Can be a little cool outside, especially if windy.

4 of us of varying ages went for lunch and between us had sausages, gammon (ham) and 'cordon bleu' with mostly rosti for accompaniment. Along with some good Swiss beer. It is an intimate family-run type restaurant and very friendly and welcoming. Clearly it is enjoyed by locals and whilst slightly out of the way it is worth finding. NB they only take cash.

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Switzerland with the family. In addition to the large indoor cafeteria style restaurant and gift shop, there are numerous activities to keep the children amused. In the center of the grove are various picnic style wooden tables with umbrellas. People can enjoy their meal , and the children then run and play. There are large ,square, hay stacks, molded together into a climbing activity; a petting farm with goats of all sizes; an enclosed rabbit hotel style viewing station , where my girls thought the rabbits had bunk beds; a huge wooden and rope ladder spanning several blocks of space; and a sand pit complete with water, mud, toys and fun, fun, fun!Available also was a PICK YOUR OWN BLUEBERRIES option but sadly, we did not have the time. We did however have a delightful lunch , composed of a vegetable topped freshly made pizza, delicious chocolate ice cream, and a large smiling jelly and dough cookie. On our way out, we purchased fresh blackberries and strawberries, and a lovely bottle of pumpkin salad oil. Yummy!Thank you very much for this positive feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our farm and hope to see you again soon.

Simply great food, a great location, the staff are enthusiastic and very friendly. Not quite Zurich prices which is a plus too. Thoroughly enjoyable experience on both times I have been there.

We visited this place recently, having bought a 'deal'. We really had no expectations, since very often, such deals turn out to be a hoax at worst and disappointing at best. Well, we were pleasantly surprised. Already when I made the reservation, the gentleman was warm and friendly (generally when one mentions the word deal, the restaurant people's tone tends to indicate - oh no, not one of "those").It was a three course menu with a choice of salad or fish carpaccio as a starter; I opted for the salad and my husband took the carpaccio. Both were rather nice. Then came the main course, a nice steak only partially cooked with cafe de paris sauce (or herb butter, I'm not sure which one, they both seem rather similar to me) and served on a burner so we could cook it to our personal taste. It was accompanied by matchstick fries. The meal was rounded off by ice caramel and fresh fruits as dessert. Though I am not a dessert person, I must say I really enjoyed this one, it was delicious. The quality of the meat was excellent and for the price we paid, it was really a steal. While this place is known more for its drinks and as a bar, the quality of the food is certainly not to be sneezed at.

In spite of having been often in Rapperswil, we never stepped into this restaurant... ended up there in occasion of a concert... ...next time we'll reserve a table for dinner! The atmosphere is very nice, modern and cosy at the same time, with an oldfashioned shop corner with lots of organic and homemade specialties. You can watch the kitchen brigade at work and whatever they prepare is more than fresh and based on local products. This time we only tried their fascinating teas (never smelled so much aroma rising from such a special teapot before!) and an equally surprising dessert: Cereal icecream. When giving the available flavors the waiter realized that strawberry was out and offered to make some... where do you get THAT? In fact the freshly made strawberry icecream was among the best we ever tried.Brief: Don't miss that restaurant when you are in town, best thing is to take your time and enjoy the entire menu!

A good place to have a meal in Rapperswil. Not really located in a place of town with special views, but friendly staff and good food. Have to make a note to go there again. Was there for lunch. Reservation is recommended as they are often full.

We've been there many times since this facility was converted from farm to kindergarten to restaurant some 30 years ago and our assessment remains stable. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of Lake Zurich; inside is a cozy wood-paneled "Stubbe" atmosphere - or an equally cozy atmosphere in their wine cellar, which is the real trade of the house; just their food is uneven, some original ideas very well prepared but occasionally you hit something really strange and distasteful. Our latest experience was however perfect: a trout!
