considering this is a hotel the restaurant serves exceptionally well selected dishes, on time prepared and presented delicately at affordable prices in a breathtaking setting just below the castle ruins...How much more typical and scenic can Germany be?!

Have enjoyed two dinners here this trip. Everyone in the group was pleased with their individual entrees. Venison is tender and well seasoned. Pork on homemade noodles is a great choice. Escargot are buttery and delicious. Calamari are large and tender. Excellent service and menu.

While stationed at Ramstein in the 90's, we loved this restaurant! Returned tonight after 22 years and it was just as delicious! We had our normal Chateuabriand and it was so delicious! Our friends were eating there for the first time and ordered the same and were very happy with the choice! One of their daughters thought the potato soup was very good and the other felt the same about the onion soup!Great time with friends and lots of old memories!

This is a typical German restaurant, in a typical German village. The food is good, portions are large. The menu is limited but still, provides a good selection. The fact that the locals eat there regularly tells you all you need to know about this restaurant. One thing you need to know is that they do not take cards of any type - it's cash only, as are many restaurants in that region. Also, the staff speaks English and you can get menus in English. Prices are fair too. Note that it is only open for dinner. I recommend it.

What a delight! A whole Christmas dinner to go. A whole roast goose, stuffing, red cabbage, and dumplings with gravy. Easy to reserve ahead, easy to pick up. And best of all delicious! Advertised to feed four... but we have plenty of leftovers too. Looking forward to returning to eat in next time.

While looking for a restaurant, I stumbled on this place after making the "wrong" turn. Fortunately, I decided to stop at this restaurant. The wait staff were kind, the food was excellent, and the restaurant was clean. I would have scored it excellent but I had to share my dinner with a couple of bees... it is something outside of the control of the management. Otherwise, very good experience!

I have eaten here several years ago and it was great. This is not the case anymore. I did not get what I ordered and did not see my server until I was well done with what they gave me. The food was not good and the service just wasn't there. Landstuhl has so much better to offer and at a much better price.

It's a very charming little Gasthaus that i went to a lot, and every meal i ever had was exquisite, and they make everything fresh. Definitely a Gasthaus to visit when in Landstuhl.
We made reservations and enjoyed dinner here last week. The food was wonderful and came out quickly. I loved the salad and the schnitzel was very tender. I got the rham schnitzel with spaetzle and enjoyed every bite.

This restaurant has several different sized rooms to accommodate various sized parties, unfortunately the once superb menus has declined somewhat, and the service has wained, however the food which our party orderedwas very nice although lacking in quantity and swimming in gravy making it tasty but very soggy, this restaurant has always had a wonderful ambience, but it would seem that the menu choices are going the same way as the rest of the restaurants in the local area,.

A butcher owns this place and you can really tell, the meats are fabulous. The rump steak with dark beer sauce is to die for. The setting is small so do make a reservation.
