We came here after a long bike trip around the lake. The cuisine is modern Italian and all dishes were great: Spaghetti Alio Olio, Vitello Tonnato, Pizza, Mozzarella, Spaghetti al Tartufo. Prices were very competitive and service excellent. Recommended.

This is a good place for some traditional German food while in Kiel. In the center of town, easy to find, this place offers all the menu items you would expect in a good German restaurant. The restaurant itself is attractive and very clean. Service was very good and prices reasonable.

We had just returned from a boat trip on the see, it was an extremely hot day, so refreshments was the order of the day. Just along from the boat docking pier is the "Seeprinz" restaurant. I have been visiting Germany for about 50 years and I just love to sit on a veranda/patio over the see, and dine. We ate and drank some excellent food and beer, the service was excellent, as is the case in most restaurants in Germany. The atmosphere was great. We will try and visit this restaurant again.

This well appointed restaurant on Holtenhauer Str., one of Kiels main shopping and dining streets, is very worthwile a visit. The chef himself served our delicious light dinner and was always ready to give advise and informations on his cuisine. The good Grauburgunder from Baden and the draught beer from a small brewery my daughter had added to the success of the dinner.

This restaurant serves some very good schnitzels. Many different to choose from. Plenty of different German beers. Also some very good schnapps that everyone should try.

friendly staff and a great eat at reasonable prices. Due to the fact that every local and every visitor know about this restaurant, the place is always busy and full. I recommend a table reservation if you would like to dine between 1800 and 2000 o'clock where the place is at its busiest

Restaurant is located at the harbor, near passenger terminal at fourth floor. Modern interior with impressive harbor view. Food is good, not too extensive card and good properly priced wines. I had a nice fillet, my partner salad with chicken. Prices for the food are not cheap but reasonable for the offered quality. You have to reserve, et seven pm it was already almost full.

The modern restaurant PIER 16 offers with its glass front a view on the hustle and bustle in the city centre and the piers. Savour freshly prepared and seasonal northern German specialties in a very special atmosphere.
We booked a table in advance to enjoy the lovely white asparagus during May month in Northern Germany. We chose this restaurant because of its location close the harbour and ferry port to Norway, because we didn't have much time.We arrived a bit earlier than booked, but we were met with understanding and got a table anyway. The service was great and we were served wine and alster after a couple of minutes. Our food was perfect, asparagus from Schleswig-Holstein is just the right food for May. Since we are living in Norway, there is seldom a chance to get to taste the white asparagus made the right way with hollandaise and potatoes - everybody thinks the green is better.....but it is NOT.Not to forget the home made hollandaise sauce - it was exquisit and definitely made from scratch.I would highly recommend this restaurant for people on cruise from Oslo-Kiel with Color Line, because you can eat at 12 o'clock and still be back on the boat in time.Dear Rune, Thanks a lot for your lovely recommendation and spending your time for lunch at Pier 16. You're right - some people think the green asparagus is better, but it's not, just as a component in a salad. It's a pleasure to read your words especially for our teams in kitchen and service and we are happy to say Thank you!We hope you had a wonderful trip with Color Line and wish you a very enjoyable summer. Sunny greetings, your team Pier 16, Frank BlasbergGeneral Manager ATLANTIC

Really good ambiance with a modern decoration and a very nice service.I took some antipasti first, I couldn't eat one because it was a mixture of cream cheese with orange, but the rest was very good. Then I ordered an ox goulash (very good) with a gratin of sweet potatoes that I couldn't eat because there was orange in it (why?). For the dessert, I ordered a crème brûlée (and specifically asked if there was any orange in it) and nonetheless there was the orange taste again. Why not keep this simple and not put orange everywhere?
Had a very nice dinner with my wife here. Staff was very attentive, the special for the evening - with white asparagus (!) - was a great recommendation by the maitre de service and at the same time was very price-worthy :-))
