Hohmanns Brauhaus is an OK place for a good beer and dinner. The decor is modern and actually a little bit sterile, not quite the typical brauhaus atmosphere. But the beer is good, the service excellent and friendly and the food satisfying. I had the pike filet with potato croquettes and my wife had a tasty, but somewhat chewy, steak with spaetzle. Very popular with locals.

Wir gehen oft im Raum Fulda brunchen. Niemals hatten wir einen besseren Brunch als im Cafe Berlin! Günstig, sehr gut und viel Auswahl!

We happened to get rerouted on our way to Erfurt due to construction, so we stopped here for pie and refreshments. What a great detour! We sat outside and enjoyed the lush green gardens and took in some history about the palace. This is the prince of Hesse's home! Who knew? The service was incredibly slow, and it was VERY busy on the day we were there. But for us it was fine - we weren't in a hurry and were thoroughly enjoying the afternoon.

We hade few dinners during our stay. Food is excellent, portions are big. Everytime we received small gifts - additional meal from hotel we didn't order but also were not charged for.

We spent one evening in Fulda and picked Breuers without any research or recommendations. The restaurant has a nice casual, pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome, I ordered lachfilet (salmon,16.50â¬) and my wife had dorade (gilt-head bream, a white fish with a nice meaty flavor,19.50â¬). My son ordered tafelspitz (boiled beef in broth, served with horseradish,14.00â¬). The food was delicious and the service was good. Although they donât have English menus our server spoke English and described the menu items. They have a wine sampler that I really enjoyed of 4 different wines for 11.50â¬. I would definitely recommend this place.

Dachsbau, the name of this adorable restaurant in glorious Fulda, is German for the badger's underground living quarters, his "sett". It's the best place to recover after visiting the town's many wonderful sights, mostly ecclesiatical; from Fulda the Christianization of central Germany was undertaken in the mid-8th century by a group of intrepid Anglo-Saxons led by St. Boniface, who was buried in the former Abbey Church after having his head split by the Frisian king's sword in 754.The food here is outstanding, the menu is imaginative but sensible and free of modern weirdnesses, the portions are generous but not Gargantuan, and the prices are reasonable. The wine list is varied and interesting, without wearing you out. I asked if they really had that magnum of 1929 Chateau Margaux in the cellar; the boss said it had been drunk recently, and was amazing, but that he had left it on the list for sentimental reasons, like a ghost. I can understand that. What is really nice is their generous range of open wines, which they will serve you at 0.1 or 0.2 liter glasses. The building is 400 years old and has been a restaurant for a century and a half. The space is accordingly...cozy, and quaint. Copiously decorated with old prints, and paintings from the 1920's of anthropomorphized badgers, said to represent long-dead inhabitants of the city.I never enjoyed a restaurant in Germany more, and I have been eating out here for 30 years.

I and a few friends stopped here for dinner one night after we couldn't find our intended destination for dinner. The safe speaks very little English but if you know a little German then you'll get by. All four of us had something different and it was all very very tasty!! I'm still not really sure what we all had except that two of us had steak and two had pork. It was so deliscious!!

Me and my husband had dinner yesterday at the Goldener Karpfen in Fulda. We wanted to go there spontaneously because of our anniversary and called at 18:00 H to ask if they would have a free table for two at eight o´clock; luckily they had a free table for us (despite the short notice) and asked if we were celebrating something, so we said that it was our wedding anniversary. When we got there, they have had decorated the table with flowers and candles. The service was exceptional, very attentive and kind. The food was spectacular and so was the wine too. We received some appetizers while we were waiting as well as some sweets at the end of the dinner. The dessert was the highlight of the dinner, I really recommend you to try it! When we were about to go, we even received a present from the chef because of our celebration. We didnât expect it at all and it made our night⦠Definitely this restaurant has won the good reputation it has as the best restaurant in Fulda. Everything was perfect, service, food and ambient. Would love to come back!

The hotel and restaurant "Peterchens Mondfahrt" (=Little Peter's trip to the moon), you can experience our regional and seasonal gourmet cuisine along with an extensive wine selection and enjoy. As a member of the German National Culinary Team, our chef k
The menu was rather limited but included several regional specialties. Service was slow, but not painfully so. The food was also OK, neither memorably good nor bad. Peterchen's epitomizes all the faults and benefits of a chain restaurant.Dear DonPaulo, thank you very much for your visit and for your rating. Just to rectify, Peterchens Mondfahrt isn't and has never been a chain restaurant. Our kitchen is awarded with the highest rank (3 out of 3) by the "Dachmarke Rhön" organisation for use of primarly regional products. We would be very happy to welcome you soon again!Best regards, Gerhard Wibelitz

If you love grill food and this is the place to go for the best ever spareribs. I have never ever had such an amazing spareribs until now and it is served with baked potatoes and with a delicious sauce ever. The restaurant itself is located in a very nice place with a small lake and there are seat outside as well where it is very nice to be during summer. The Restaurant has a rustic decor, staff are friendly and the price are reasonable for the quality of foods on offer. The menu is quite extensive but i would suggest the spareribs to anyone wanting to try this Restaurant. It is a must see! Bon Appetite!!
