Köszeg is a pretty town but there arenât too many restaurants that take advantage of the views. Rather unappealingly, the âgardenâ section of this restaurant, though it faces the castle, is enclosed in a modern large shed arrangement. It doesnât really work. Also service from my waitress was slightly gormless - food was brought without knives and forks and empty glasses werenât taken away. Still my crumbed pike perch was very good and the white wine was deliciously chilled.

We planned to have dinner at Aurora due to the great reviews at Tripadvisor. Although we were the only one occupied table in the restaurant, the service was terrible. Due to their rude behaviour they also successfully chased another 4 people table aways. A really important lesson: guest has always right. Please educate your staff in order to provide better customer experience. The food was okay, but nothing exceptional.

It's a good place for a lunch or dinner after a pleasent hiking in the montains. The staff is nice, not rude. You can got avarage Hungarian food which are made well. The interior is simple but nice but the tablecloths was a bit dirty. You can pay by card also. The goulash soup is huge full with meat and made well.

Excellent location at the main square of Koszeg. Pleasant terrace. We had our dinner there on the terrace alfresco: grilled salmon with rice and grilled chicken with mixed salads. Nice presentation and good taste. The staff is quick, helpful, speaking German and English (besides Hungarian of course).Peaceful ambiance. The pittoresque main square is car-free. You can go for a stroll, relax and watch the people. The restaurant is in the midst of this scenery. The prices are very reasonable. As well we had breakfast there, Ã -la-carte. This was even better. Inside the ambience is tasteful, a little bit artistic. All in all a very good restaurant.Recommendable.

Location: heart of the city center. Parking: forget about it, by foot only.Place: good mixture of oriental athmosphere and high tech. You will see what I mean... Food: exceptional, delicious and signifficant quantity. Prices: let's say good value for money. Not cheap but you get quality food. Only problem: the place is well known for its "cash only" policy. They do not accept any kind of payment, but cash. (don't ask the reason, just accept it or go away)Overall: be prepared to pay cash, otherwise this restaurant is one of the best places in town. 9/10.
No taste, boring menu.... just another stop along the road. Should be able to produce more tempting food given the access to local vegetables and quality products

We had dinner here and I ordered the Schweinskaree which was so delicious. This portion was so huge I had to take half of it home. We had dinner outside and the atmosphere was very nice.
