The Ruigenhoek is a traditional family run Dutch bar and restaurant - the interior is faithful to the styles of the seventies but with very comfortable seating. Food is also really traditional Dutch restaurant fare - think steak mushroom and fries, fried cod or schnitzel. However really good quality ingredients and skillful cooking result in a good meal. On a sunny sunday it was quite busy with tourists and locals alike. Starters from home cooked soups quite nice. Fries perfectly fried, nice crisp and dry. My steak mushrooms was perfect, the cod of the missus a bit bland but overall still a great meal.

I am surprised that this place is rated so low in comparison to other dining venues in Noordwijkerhout. Once you get past the fact that you are dining at a golf course clubhouse, Tespelduyn is actually a great choice for dinner. We were trying to dine in the main village square of Noordwijkerhout, but we arrived during the preparations for the annual flower parade and everything was full. The tourist office recommended we drive the four or five kilometers to this location and we were not disappointed. Our table overlooked a tulip field (others overlook the golf course), service was good, and the food was outstanding. My party tried the duck breast, catch of the day, and grilled tender beef bavette for dinner â all were well prepared and very flavorful. Each dish was approximately 20 Euros. I would definitely dine here again if in the area.

I wanted a low key dinner and had stopped for a beer earlier in the day. The seating outside is comfortable and service is as well. I enjoyed an evening meal of a small steak, done well, the hottest fries I have ever been served and a small salad for a very reasonable price. A couple of glasses of the house wine and all was well in the world. Based on my observation it appears to be a local after work gathering place for a pint and bite to eat. Nicely done!

Our dinner at Cheval Blanc was a fantastic experience. Refined food and an excellent service you can find at Cheval Blanc. In one word: Delicious! A-muze were well able to handle a large group for a family celebration. Service was pleasant and quick, quality of the set menu was outstanding. House wine not bad. They also had a few other dinner guests in the restauarant, it all seemed to work well.

We were in Lisse for the Kuekenhof Tulip Festival and happened across this restaurant. Excellent dinner for a meat-lover (green egg cooked prime steak) and for a gluten-free wife. It's been owned and operated for 32-years and the owner was around the whole evening - creating a personalized and authentic experience. There's wonderful modern art on the walls, one piece celebrating the owner. Our server, Kristen, was very friendly and had suggestions on what to do in Lisse and the surrounding areas the next day. We went back the next night, same staff, same excellent service, great experience. A first class experience. If you're looking for a high quality meal, among a restaurant that is clearly a big hit with the locals and has a authentic atmosphere, this is a great choice.

This Michelin-recommended restaurant along the Ringvaart Canal is in a typical Dutch private house style with low ceilings and a rather uncomplicated décor. The cuisine is French/Dutch with occasional, slightly, Oriental influences.The amuse-bouche including a sip of creamy soup and shrimp cocktail did pleasantly arouse my appetite. The starter with various preparations of mackerel was well above ordinary and fresh. The entremets of quail piccata with green asparagus was equally enjoyable without being stunning. The main dish of salmon and cannelloni filled with spinach was the highlight of the day; simply delicious. The wine (William Fevre Chablis 2012) paired very well with the dishes, enhancing the positive impact. For dessert, the ice cream with raspberries was decorated with white chocolate. Along with a decent cup of espresso it was a worthy closing of this meal.The service was good and less formal than expected. The bill for two persons came to 120 Euro. Perfect? No. But the Oude Dykhuys is a genuinely high quality restaurant that I want to visit more often, disregarding my financial constraints.
