Me and my wife had a dinner at the restaurant. We ordered Huisler Schnitzel and Käsespätzle. The portions were delicious. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Here you enjoy... ... The best of traditional Austrian and Tyrolean cuisine. You can meet in our cosy, traditional and originally preserved wood-panelled "Stube" room or in the bright conservatory and get spoiled by our traditional, but exquisite cuisine.
I've been to the restaurant many times. The Wintergarten is just lovely. The food is tasty and very good. Try the Forelle Müllerin or any style of Saibling. Both fishes are cooked in an amazing way. Vety good beer and friendly service. The Hoferwirt is also the owner of the Tschangelair Alm, beside the Gletscher StraÃe. There, they have some very little lakes where Hoferwirt breed the trouts and the saiblingen in the water coming down from the fantastic Glacier. The fishes are faboulous and very fresh. The restaurant of the Hoferwirt is one of the best of the entire Stubay Valley.

Although meals are okay, your entire senses may be negatively affected by people, both personnel (trying to "manage" queue, for example, redirecting people who would not like first course dishes, around queue, without any care for queue merging later) and visitors (who tend to "reserve" places in advance or sit that way, which clearly shows that they are against sharing some table space despite the restaurant is kinda overcrowded.

Dopo un tragitto di una mezzoretta di cammino ecco la malga. Paesaggio stupendo, ci accomodiamo con semplicità ad un tavolo con lo lâesibizione dell spettacolo naturale sotto ed intorno a noi. Cibo e birra biologico, ottimo tutto.

Restaurant from noon to 10.00 P.M.
Strolling around Vipiteno/Sterzing, I spotted this bar with tables outside and managed to get the last one. Delicious local wines by the glass - one to be had perusing the menu, and a second with the fantastic burrata and local tomatoes.Finding myself nearby again the following day, I headed straight back there for lunch. Burrata and local tomatoes again. Just as delicious, but very different tomatoes, obviously that day's fresh delivery.Recommended.

Great choice of regional, Austrian and International cusine combined with seasonal specialities. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ate dinner at this restaurant within the Parkhotel in Matrei. The menu had local dishes. They have a lovely terrace at the back and a well stocked salad bar. I can highly recommend the Fiakergulasch. It was a lovely Gulash with bread dumplings and an extra sausage. The prices were very reasonable and they had a nice wine selection as well. The service was very friendly, even when busy. Mains starting at 10â¬.Thank you very much for your positive feedback! We appreciate that you have had a pleasent time at the Parkhotel Matrei and you have enjoyed our Fiakergulasch on our terrace! Home made pasta dishes are a highlight. Portions are huge for appetizers so definitely share. Main course was the right size. A good glass of haus wine completes a nice stop over from Italy to Austria. All for a very reasonable price.

We were a group of 21 staying here on a dinner b/b basis. The breakfast was fine, the usual mix of cold meats, cheese, cereals, yogurt and breads. Our evening meals were 4 courses, starting with a selection of salads, then soups (creamy usually and rather similar) then mains either fish, meat or veggie. Quality was fine really, not top notch but country fare and somedays better than others. Puddings were lovely too.No complaints except the flies buzzing round were a nuisance but you get that in the country.

We found this gem driving around and seen the sign and went to check it out. Decor very warm and relaxing. I had canederli and goulash and my partner sauerkraut and speck canederli, both of which were absolutely delicious and obviously homemade. We went back a 2nd time and plan on staying there. The owners were very kind and it shows they put pride in what they do.
