My employer regularly uses this hotel to accommodate customers from the UK on factory visits. The rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves local dishes, all prepared and served to an excellent standard. Breakfast is of the continental variety with a good selection of breads, meats and cheeses.

The Glass Garden - your toque-awarded restaurant high above the roofs of Salzburg! In our exclusive gourmet restaurant you do not only enjoy ,,toque-awarded" culinary delights but also a breathtaking view over the city of Salzburg. The world famous gourme
Having read the reviews here, I booked this for our last night in Salzburg.I dislike writing negative reviews, especially when they are negative about staff, but I feel like very few of the other reviews covered the full tasting menu and wine matching â¬250+ per person. If we had just had a glass or bottle of wine, steaks and deserts I am sure it would have been a nice.Unfortunately we chose the tasting menu and it was not even close to being worthwhile. To give you context, we (my wife, son and me) eat out 365 days a year all over the world and in the last 10 years have lost track of the Michelin meals we have had, somewhere between 1000 and 2000.The young man serving as our waiter seemed nice enough, but unfortunately was woefully undertrained - even for a casual dinner. When he poured the first glass of red wine for my wife he splashed it all over the table and us, as he had finished the bottle. No apology or any acknowledgement he just walked off. We thought he went to find another bottle to finish pouring the glass which was way under and something for us to wipe off the drops of wine, but no.Not once across the wine pairing did he manage to pour without dripping on the table and down the side of the glass. When the Pinot was oxidized, he just walked off with my glass and didnât return. Then the food. Each course was nice, nothing special, but nice. Nothing stood out at all unfortunately - pretty much every course was a piece of fish or meat, small vegetable pieces, some gel and a sauce poured on the side of it at the table - after two of them we were bored, but the same thing just kept coming. Balance in the dishes was hit and miss - many of them being too creamy/rich, without any acidic balance. There are Michelin and near-Michelin restaurants all over the world at much better prices for much better food.(I thought about writing to management, but experience says nothing will be done at all, so would rather just warn you and if people start leaving honest reviews, then management will have to start listening).Dear family!Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you didn't have a satisfying experience in our venue.May we ensure you, that we take written and spoken feedback very seriously and listen carefully. To be honest your criticism took us by surprise. We will of course discuss this internally as we are continuously working on our finest service- and cooking-level.We hope to get the chance to greet you again some time and convince you with our proven performance.Yours sincerelySamantha Teufel

I stumbled across this restaurant while searching Tripadvisor for restaurant suggestions during my stay in Salzburg. This restaurant was located away from the main city, however it turned out to be a hidden gem. Our waiter Daniel was very friendly and welcoming, and also strangely resembled Chris Hemsworth. The food was absolutely fantastic (highly recommend the pork chops). In fact, the food was so good, we went back the day after. When I return to Salzburg in the future, I will be sure to stop by again. Writing this review has made me hungry again. 10/10

Owned by the young couple Susi and Emanuel Weyringer, this restaurant is top of the range. Emanuel creates excellent high-class food in a very innovative way which is amazing. Excellent wine-list.For me Weyringer is one of the best restaurants in Austria. Service headed by Susi is very friendly and professional. Sitting outside on the wonderful terrace overlooking the lake is such a treat. We will always come back. Fantastic service and excellent creative courses.Outstanding ,friendly, and attentive service. It is necessary to drive or take a taxi as the restaurant is on the edge of town. Well deserving of the two stars. With this quality, the restaurant may soon be rewarded with a third star so go while the prices are not so bad.
A 3rd generation local hotel in near Salzburg. The staff were friendly and nice. The interior and architecture of hotel was superb. You could see how traditional it is. Delicious breakfasts. The location is good with a few amazing local restaurants around. They could improve their gym a lot more and also having an air conditioner could be very nice in the summers. Overall, it was really good.

We ate at the Gasthaus Fischtagging based on Tripadvisor reviews. While generally satisfied, we found the reviews a bit overly generous based on our own experience. However, we also recommend it.The restaurant is situated on the outskirts of the town, amidst neighboring farms. It is a charming bucolic setting. The Gasthaus is in an attractive building and has a pleasant garden. The weather was chilly, but we ate outside anyway. Both the terrace and the restaurant were crowded that Friday night. We shared a table with an interesting couple who were also visiting the area and had a very pleasant and interesting conversation with them.I ordered the Raznjici, which I found a bit bland for this dish. I accompanied it with a stein of the keller bier, which was pretty typical for that style. My wife had the Tafelspitz, which she described as above average. Her Marillenknödel was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Portion sizes for our dishes were normal, but at other tables we saw a similarity between body sizes and portion sizes.I do not know if this was a larger crowd than a normal Friday night, but something made the service rather slow and inattentive. We repeatedly had to call the waitress and ask for items that should have been on the table or were forgotten. It was a satisfying meal, if not memorable. Our two meals came to 36,50â¬, about average for the Salzburg area.

A week golfing in Salzburg region we stay in this small hotel. Their restaurant deserves a special evaluation.Restaurant is not big; especially the outside space is very nice. Wooden tables with comfortable benches are situated in a very nice garden with patulous chestnut trees, summerhouse covered by ivy. Joung and helpful staff wear usually traditional costume, they are very popular. It is nice and charming. Owners of this nice hotel come to greet their guests daily. Restaurant was full every afternoon and evening, majority of guests were groups of locals, joung, older, families. It is usually good sign of quality. Kids can use spacious part of garden with climbing frames. Hotel with his restaurant is situated outside of the town, close to the championship golf course Salzburg â Eugendorf. My husband and I were guests of hotel with half board pension. We and other hotel guests had every day a tables prepared for menu diner. Every evening we had a private menu card prepared for us on the table. I am vegetarian and it was no problem for the staff to prepare vegetarian dishes for me separately, even I was the only one. Menu usually consisted from 6 to 8 courses. All together it looked as a menu degustational in some great restaurant. Use of regional and seasonal products was self â evident. Everything was very tasty and nice presented. The only two slightly negative comments: portions were too big and cook like salt more than me (maybe he got a new sort of salt and was not familiar with it?)It is great place with excellent food. They were in the Michelin restaurant guide at 2009 according to the sticker on the door. I think the Michelin evaluators should return back and renew their recommendation.

This restaurant has been highly rated by many experienced reviewers and we were eager to check it out. We too are foodies and you may have seen my reviews of restaurants from many countries over the world. This one provided a Lovely setting, superb service, but was without a doubt overly pretentious. The setting down of a once used fork or empty plate resulted in the arrival of two wait persons, who swiftly carried away the evidence. Similarly, all new plates seemed to require two people for delivery. The amuse-bouche, the cleansing courses, the beautiful artistry of each plate , and superb flavors were wonderful. However the waits between courses became aggravatingly slow and the $6.50 charge for what appeared to be tap water in a clear bottle seemed a little over the top. Serving sizes were much less than the photos show--my deer calf loin consisted of two 50 cent size pieces of meat atop a 1/4" inch deep smear of mashed potatoes--ahhh, but with the most delicious cherry sauce imaginable; my husband's order of steak was again wonderful, but miniscule. Artistry seems most important-. One of the menu items included a tiny 1" clay flower pot, filled with something like strawberry sorbet, and had a tiny little white flower planted in it. Many of the plates had a design of spread food decorated with created red or green berries or flowers which had been made of crushed red fruit or green peas or some other appropriately colored item. We had opted for the five-course fixed price menu, but the menu itself was confusing with each item individually priced as well as totaled. My lone gin and tonic was priced at $14 for the gin,$3.70 for the tonic water, The food itself could not have been better. At the end of two hours, tired and maybe a bit jet-lagged, we called a halt to it, opted out of the desert (which I will forever regret), paid our $226.70 Euro bill and escaped. If you are very patient and want to enjoy a lot of theater with your food, this might be the place--overall, it seemed to me like a food farce, an unnecessary exaggeration of dining and maybe a bit like a Barbie Doll Tea party.

We had a great meal at Bierheuriger and the atmosphere was very comfortable and fun. They have other choices than just authenic Austrian food and for a great price. Our waitress, Eva, was very friendly and nice. One of the better restaurants that we tried during our stay.
